3rd and final Custom. We’re around the time when I lost my dad so I’m gonna put another post up in memory of him and give credit where it’s due. My dad passed away on 9/18/22 just six days after I turned 36. I wanted to commemorate him in a special way so… My girlfrind does pottery and created an immaculate urn to put my dad’s ashes in. The colors are perfect. A mix of NM turquoise as I call it and almost a copper look. Just perfect and I know he’d love it. Thank you again @mandyh26 ❤️❤️❤️. This custom I was unable to build since I had left Never Summer but was owed one. I had the person who taught me to build boards, best of the best build it for me in my absence. I gave him a vial of ashes to put in the epoxy, so now part of my dad rests within this board. I haven’t ridden it and probably won’t until later in life. Thank you Jeff for helping make my vision a realty. Built 5/2023 by @mtn_surfer 160cm ProtoSynthesis. Lastly the graphic, @andreasdoesart made my vision for it a reality as well. We used a picture of my dad with his dog and the image of the shirt I was wearing when I was with him in his final hours. He was a man of the road so it suits the graphic. He had many things he was into but boxing, guitar, and motorcycles were near the top so he added some images to represent that for him. Thanks again Andreas, Jeff and Mandy. We had it sawed up in the town of Wayne by Kuphals. We then dried it for 30 years, but dad never had time to make a thing out of it. We’ll at least I am making something for him out of it. 💚. The Expo is only two sleeps away, OH My Goodness! Needless to say that now I have fresh pottery in the glaze firing today, along with some orders, I am starting to panic! I have to plan my setup today and do my first layout to pack for easy set up Saturday morning. Help!! I only have one trestle table, and I frankly I have got decision anxiety on which table cloth to use. I can use the red alone, with the cover or the hessian with silver ferns. It’s under cover so might be darker and I won’t know how the pots look until I set up, so it’s safer to go with white shelves instead of the bamboo and pine. Oops, sorry, my post didn’t go up when I hoped so I’m running late to check in this morning. I am almost completely out of reduction blue pottery so these are colours that I am hoping to see from my next glaze firing. The first shelf of mugs is finally complete with their handles, today once I have trimmed yarn bowls and garlic jars, I will throwing more. This bisque needs to be groaning with pottery so I can do a second glaze fire straight away.
