Made of Optic barley. 700 bottles. 💪🏼 60,5% 💷 180 € but currently up to 900 € 👃🏼 tobacco, cacao, raisins and plums 👅 dark berries, bitter chocolate, figs, fruity and nutty. I consider that Daftmill is one of the most wanted young brands of scotch (along with The Kilchoman). As for me, I was looking for the opportunity to buy one of its tall and heavy bottles about two years. Thank you @maiakovskiivadim ✋ Simple and bold. These two words come to my mind when I'm looking at this unique bottle. There are a lot of signs for me that there is the damn good and old-school scotch inside. Daftmill is the independent family owned distillery and the farm estate in Fife. They grow barley and use it for making their own whisky. All magical things are done onside the farm. Due to the distillery operates not whole year not a lot of whisky is made and every batch is sold out before an information about it is reached to the most of whisky lovers. #daftmill 2006 cask strength 15 year old lowland single malt scotch whisky 700ml / 55.7% this release was distilled in 2006 at fife's daftmill, a farm distillery owned and operated by the cuthbert family, producing whisky seasonally during the farm's quiet periods. this expression was put down to mature in a combination of 28 first fill ex-bourbon barrels for at least 15 years before 5,430 bottles were produced in 2022 at a strength of 55.7% abv.

The tattoo is of a Pictish Warrior 🏴 Pict comes from the Latin word Picti meaning 'painted people' [of Scotland]. Being Scottish, it means a lot to embrace this Pictish Warrior as part of me (& now for good! 😅) And the detail on the tattoo is unreal! Swipe ➡️ for closeup at the end! . You may have also heard of Pictish Stones which are dotted all around Scotland and there is actually one that lays very close to the @daftmilldistillery 🙌🏻 . The Daftmill distillery is set in the heart of Fife and uses their own barley grown on their own working farm. That's pretty special! You whisky enthusiasts probably already know that getting a Daftmill release can be difficult due to the limited number of bottles - it is a wee independent farm but albeit mighty! . This is the 2011 Summer Batch Release and it is a delicious drop! Matured in first-fill barrels, which previously matured Bourbon from Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky, bottled at 46% and 6550 bottles total. . On first taste, I almost felt disappointed waiting for that classic Daftmill grassy/earthy taste and then, it hit me! 💥 First off, the spices immediately surfaced through the creamy texture leading to a punchy green apple pie, lots of vanilla and finished off with a sherbet-like syrup. Whisky Fact: Die richtige Lagerung von Whisky ist entscheidend für die Erhaltung seiner Qualität und seines Geschmacks. Whiskyflaschen sollten stets stehend gelagert werden, um den Kontakt des Whiskys mit dem Korken zu minimieren. Dies verhindert die Zersetzung des Korkens und somit eine Verunreinigung des Whisky (Bild 2). Die ideale Lagertemperatur liegt zwischen 15 und 20 Grad Celsius. Extreme Temperaturschwankungen sollten vermieden werden, da sie den Whisky negativ beeinflussen können. Zudem ist es wichtig, die Flaschen vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung und starkem Licht zu schützen, da UV-Strahlen die Aromen des Whiskys schädigen können. Eine dunkle und kühle Umgebung, wie ein Schrank oder ein Keller, ist daher optimal. Schliesslich sollte der Raum, in dem der Whisky gelagert wird, eine gewisse Feuchtigkeit aufweisen, um das Austrocknen des Korkens zu verhindern. Mit diesen Massnahmen bleibt der Whisky über Jahre hinweg in bester Qualität erhalten. Neben dem negativen Einfluss auf Geschmack und Farbe (Trübheit) verändert sich unter schlechten Bedingungen auch der Füllstand (Bild 3 & 4) und der Alkoholgehalt. Es lohnt sich also, sich zu merken, welcher Füllstand die Flasche haben sollte bevor man sie kauft. Manche Destillerien achten darauf, dass die Flasche mit Wachs versiegelt wird, um das Risiko auf negative Einflüsse zu minimieren. 月曜の夜というのに予想外に大勢のお客様がご来場くださいました。 とは言え、平日ということでシフトの学生は一人… ただ、頼れるバディーなのでスムーズに終わることが出来た。 ということで今夜のお酒は「DAFTMILL 2010 SUMMER BATCH」 ダフトミル蒸溜所はローズバンクのようなライトなローランドスタイルのシングルモルトを目指し、2005年にローランド地方ファイフに創業。 18世紀ごろのスコットランドに多く見られた伝統的なファームディスティラリーのスタイルを踏襲。 自社農場の大麦100%からつくられるウイスキーは年間約20,000リットルと極少量のため、日本への入荷も極々少量です。 世界へ6,250本の限定リリースで、日本へは330本の入荷です。 香りは桃のコンポート、バニラ、カスタードクリーム、ヘーゼルナッツ… 口に含むとボップコーン、ドライアプリコットといったバターと柑橘の合わさったニュアンス。 今夜で最後… もう2度と会えないだろうな。 #ローランドモルト #DAFTMILL #SUMMER BATCH #飲み飽きない
