This week we share another beautiful shirt from a national selection. The shirt is that of Denmark, dates back to 1983 and has an important number: the 10 worn by Michael Laudrup, named the prince of Denmark. The shirt is typically from the early eighties. Produced by the Danish Hummel, it features a white neckline and beautiful white stripes on the red background of the shirt. On the right side of the shirt, we find the writing, very small. of Hummel and its logo, similar to a stylized bee. Hummel is one of the oldest sportswear companies, founded in Hamburg in 1923 On the opposite side of the front of the shirt, we find the coat of arms of the Danish federation. Another feature of the shirts produced by Hummel are the diagonal stripes, here white and red, at shoulder height. On the back, the number 10 is printed in heavy white paint. The shirt was worn during a friendly match between Denmark and France at the Idraetsparken in Copenhagen on 7 September 1983. It was a great victory for the Danes and the great protagonist of the evening was the young nineteen-year-old Michael Laudrup, who scored two goal:: the first goal with a beautiful diagonal left-footed shot, after missing his direct opponent; the second one, with his right foot, closed the match with the final score 3-1 after an escape on the counterattack. Son of footballer Finn Laudrup, Michael is considered the greatest Danish footballer of all time. Due to his elegance and movements he was nicknamed “The Prince of Denmark”. A universal player who could play many roles, from attacking midfielder to midfielder and even winger. His teammate Platini who was very impressed, so much so that he said: “Laudrup is the strongest footballer in the world... in training”. This is because the Dane turned on alternating current during the game. Snapshots from the week ✌🏼 First I flew to Stavanger to hang out with my fav Norwegian, @signykaroline, for 4 days. It was all the fun! Less than an hour after I landed back in Copenhagen, my best friends were at my place and we headed to the forest 🌳🦌 Being somewhat limited by an annoying and sudden back pain, we opted out on hiking and simply had all the fun chilling in the woods instead. We have at least 1 of these trips a year, called a Survivøl trip.
