I had the best time at magic kingdom at the Disney after hours event. 100% worth the money. Everything was pretty much a walk on, the show was so quiet that you were guaranteed an amazing view, the snacks were super tasty and the night time views were amazing. Magic Kingdom After Hours, AKA Erin and my date night 🥰 💖 @crazyasianrunsfar and I had an amazing date night, but for the record we did let the boys tag along (make sure to swipe to the last pic!). We rode so many rides, got pictures, had so many laughs, but definitely no hot dogs 😬 💖 For those wondering if an After Hours is worth it - like everything in Disney, it depends. It is only 3 hours, MK does not have special characters out (the other three parks do though), and it is late (10PM-1AM). But the longest ride line was 20 minutes, most were walk on. Soda, water, popcorn and ice cream is all included. 💖 To us, it was worth it because of the memories we made with Erin and @runmiked . I don’t think I would do one again without a specific reason like that. But if you can afford it, it is definitely a great way to do a lot of rides and get empty park pics!!! But for us, the night was 10/10 (even with how cold it was and the lack of hot dogs).

I hit up Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom this week! The extremely low crowds compared to a regular day at MK makes this such an appealing way to do the park. We could all stand around and watch the late night fireworks without feeling like herded cattle, most rides were basically “walk-on”, Tron (which is normally a hard to get virtual queue) was only a 20 minute wait, and we get snacks! Not only was it my first @disneyvacationclub event, it was also my first time at Typhoon Lagoon. 🫣 Thank goodness for @missemiliejolie showing me the ropes. I was honestly scared going into this. I didn’t know what to expect and I was nervous as it had been a long time since I was in a bathing suit. If you’ve been following me for a bit, you know that I struggle with body image and quite frankly, I never have felt comfortable in my own skin. It’s been a long journey with fitness, wellness, and weight-loss and my mind still struggles with that, amongst other things. Now that I’m awake: Disney After Hours is a whole different beast (pun intended). Rides and character/meets are all basically walk-on / have no real lines, including Tron, which on a regular day is only doing virtual queue right now. You get your own uncrowded version of the fireworks. AND they give out snacks (popcorn and ice cream) and bottled drinks at various stations around the park - as much as you can eat/drink, and it’s included in your ticket. Let’s GLOW to Typhoon Lagoon’s After Hours H20 Glow party 👯♀️🪩🏄🏻♀️ Here’s what you’ll need to know for this special ticket event: 🌊 Disney H20 Glow After Hours will take place select nights from May 25 to August 31, 2024. 🏄🏻♀️ The party is from 8pm to 11pm but with the special tickets just for H20 Glow you can enter Typhoon Lagoon as early as 6pm! 🎟️ Ticket price will range from $75-85 for age 10+ and $70-80 for ages 3-9 depending on the day and if you are an APH or DVC tickets will be $60-70. 👯♀️ There will be a beach party with a DJ and special appearances by some characters 🍿You can enjoy unlimited popcorn, soft drinks, and Mickey ice cream treats. There are other specialty glow themed treats you can also purchase. 🌊 This after hours event offers a minimal crowd which can allow you to enjoy basically the entire park in just a few hours with less worry about hot pavement, long lines, and sunburns. I highly recommend Disney’s Hollywood Studios After Hours!!! From 9PM-12:30AM, we were able to ride anything we wanted without lines, met characters you NEVER see, had a drink at an empty Oga’s Cantina with no reservation, and had as much popcorn, ice cream, water & soda we wanted. Being able to walk right onto Rise of the Resistance…yes, please! Riding it, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in less than an hour, yes, please!!! You can do After Hours at Epcot and Magic Kingdom too! Let's talk about Disney's After Hours events! These events can be an amazing value for many reasons. Here are some of the perks! ✨️ Lower crowds! These events have a limited number of tickets, which means lower crowds! If you are looking for a way to see a much emptier park and get some amazing vacation pictures at night, this could be perfect for you! ✨️ Lower wait times on rides! This goes hand in hand with the point above. With lower crowds means lower lines! However, it is important to note that not every ride will be open during these events ✨️ Drinks and snacks included! This can be a huge bonus! There are some snacks and drinks included in these events. However, not all restaurants and snack kiosks will be open during these events. ✨️ Double the fireworks in Magic Kingdom! With after-hours tickets, you can get to the parks before the event starts, around 7 PM. Which means for Magic Kingdom events you can see Happily Ever After fireworks at their usual time, and Disney Enchantment during the after hours event! Now, some of the downsides. First, not all rides and areas are open during these events. If you're going for the first time, it is important to see if your must-do attractions will be open for this event. Not all restaurants and snack kiosks are open. This can be a bummer if you're looking forward to a certain treat. Lastly, these event tickets are around the same cost, if not a little more, than a regular full-day park ticket. This can be a huge deterrent for some guests. After Hours: Hollywood Studios 🎆 I didn't think I had the patience for @disneyparks anymore. All the planning, Genie crap, waking up at 7AM for a chance at getting on a ride you want… but then we learned there was a ticketed after hours event during our stay and we were intrigued. Less crowds. Unlimited snacks and drinks and no wait times. Sounds like a Disney Dream to me. I have not been to Hollywood studios since it opened years ago and there was a lot I needed to catch up on. We entered the park at 7. Knocked off a few low wait time rides and made our way to Fantasmic. At 9:30pm the park closed to day guests and only after hours guests could ride the rides. It was pretty much walk on rides the entire night until 12:30AM. We even jumped back on Rise of the Resistance again because I was fan girling so bad. I don't know that I will ever be able to do Disney daytime again knowing this is an option. #disneyworld #disneyafterhours #disneyhollywoodstudios

We did the Disney After Hours event at Epcot and it was so much fun. Short lines for rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (the most amazing roller coaster I’ve ever ridden), fun dance music throughout the park with a dance party, light shows, fewer people, cooler temps for the long walks, and free snacks.
