Tusker House at Animal Kingdom is hands down one of my favorite character dining experiences! You can see Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy dressed in their safari gear. The African inspired food does not disappoint, it’s always on my list of recommendations!! If you’re on the fence about character dining, DO IT. Don’t sleep on character breakfast at Plaza Gardens! Start your morning by meeting up to 6 characters at a nice breakfast buffet within a stone’s throw of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle! There are 2 slots: ⏰ 8.15am (only for those with Magic Time). This slot lets you into the Park for 8am to take a quick few pics in front of the empty castle. ⏰ 9.45am (for everyone else) 😊 The 6 characters you might meet are usually: Hook and Smee, Pinocchio and Gepetto, Tigger and Eeyore. Mickey and Minnie or the other fab 5 rarely make an appearance at Breakfast but they are usual at dinner. 🥞 Food is the standard Disney buffet - pastries, waffles, scrambled egg, beans, bacon, chicken+veal or plant-based sausages, yoghurts, fruit bowls etc with hot drinks available too. 💶 Cost is €50 per adult and €40 for children. Meal plans are accepted and you’ll pay a top up if necessary. 🤓 You can either add this booking to your prepaid Disney package directly or via your travel agent OR you can try to get a reservation on the app 3 days the day you want to go. Today we remember the Earffel Tower, the original icon of the Disney MGM Studios. It served as the park icon from 1989 when the park opened until the eyesore sorcerer’s hat was added in 2001. The Earffel Tower was the only park icon that was not on stage but actually backstage. The tower was 130 feet tall and was best viewed from the Studio Backlot Tour. It also did not nor did it ever contain any water. It was removed 8 years ago today and Slinky Dog Dash currently stands in its place. On a personal note, the Earffel Tower was how I always found MGM when I was on World Drive. This existed? Yes, originally opening as the costume shop in 1991 when Sci-Fi Dine in opened, it became Ellen’s Buy the Book in 1996 after the shop in the ABC sitcom Ellen Staring Ellen DeGeneres. It became Writer’s Stop in 1999 and remained so until April of 2016. It now occupies the area many love called Baseline Tap House. As nice as Baseline is, I personally miss going in for a carrot cake cookie and cup of coffee and sitting on that couch with a good book. This enchanting restaurant, located in the Norway pavilion, offers a delicious family-style feast for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. On our recent visit, we were lucky enough to meet Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Belle, and Tiana! The Princesses spend time at each table, signing autographs, taking pictures, and creating unforgettable memories. Pricing: Breakfast is $55 per adult and $35 per child, while lunch and dinner are $67 per adult and $43 per child (plus tax and gratuity). This scene opened with Fantasmic at MGM in October 1998 and stayed was replaced when the show reopened in 2022 with various hero’s and heroines. The show takes place in a purpose built 10,000 seat amphitheater. When Fantasmic opened at MGM in 1998, it served as the replacement to Sorcery in the Sky which has been playing in the park since 1990.
