Taking a special day of the year to share our @wildchowpet story 🫶 (that's his quota tommorrow 🤤) We first started on wildchow in early 2023, after a month- long diarrhoea nightmare which left the humans in tears everyday. And also 1.5k poorer cos we hospitalised him for a day in the end. We made multiple attempts to transit him back on the freeze-dried raw food he was on, but the diarrhoea would restart within a day or two despite daily probiotics. (Don't think it's a issue with the food cos its a bag he had been eating for a while, and we gave what was left to another doggo who had no issues.) We happened to have some packets of cooked and raw wildchow that we bought to try earlier. We tried the cooked first and to our surprise, Barley had no issues with it and also absolutely LOVED it. Went nuts, hopped around. Also accidentally fed the raw along the way with no issues 😆 And so we've continued with wildchow as his main diet since. While we've tried other food cos we believe in variety (and still do), we always come back and he gets some everyday. Biggest reason is cos we consistently get great poop on wildchow, unlike some others that we've tried. We also believe in feeding well now, to avoid problems later. We've consistently bought all 5 cooked proteins and he loves them all (excited to try the new roo!)
