A další historické nej - Harran, osídlení, kde žil již Abrahám. Jsou tu taky zajímavé domky ve tvaru včelích úlů, kde je i v pekelné výhni krásný chládek (samozřejmě bez elektřiny). Podle místního průvodce bývala tahle oblast opravdu hot, o čemž svědčí menší vzdálenost mezi osídleními (jen cca 20 km místo obvyklých 40 km), kterou byli velbloudi schopni ujít, #nofactchecked.

Der 11.500 Jahre alte Göbeklitepe in der Türkei ist der älteste bekannte Tempel der Menschheitsgeschichte. 1994 stößt der deutsche Archäologe Klaus Schmidt auf einer kahlen Hügelkuppe im Südosten der Türkei auf eine monumentale Anlage aus mehr als fünf Meter hohen Steinkreisen. Die Pfeiler sind sehr gut erhalten und mit Reliefs reich verziert. Wer hat sie gebaut, welche Bedeutung haben die Skulpturen und Reliefs und die wichtigste Frage: Wie alt ist diese Kultstätte? Sehr schnell wird klar, dass die Steinkreise sehr viel älter sind, als man bisher für möglich gehalten hätte. Die Experten können das Alter der Anlage unter anderem aus der Form von Steinwerkzeugen schließen, die sie in ihren untersten Erdschichten finden. Die Erbauer von Göbekli Tepe müssen vor nahezu 12.000 Jahren gelebt haben. Aus dieser Zeit kannte man bisher nur Spuren von einfachen Hütten umherziehender Nomaden. Schmidt entdeckt immer mehr Indizien, die seine These stützen: Die Datierung von Holzkohleresten und von Tierknochen bestätigen, dass die Steinkreise errichtet wurden, als die Menschheit noch nicht sesshaft war. Auch in Göbekli Tepe findet man keine Spuren einer dauerhaften Siedlung. Aus mehr als 200 Kilometern Umkreis müssen Menschen aus verschiedenen Clans damals zusammengekommen sein, um die Anlage zu errichten. Back in Göbekli Tepe after two years. With its 12,000-year-old and thus first ritual areas in the world, probably the most culturally valuable place on this planet. The excavations have not really progressed, not to say at all. The small part that has been uncovered is being exploited like Disneyland. With the same yelling tour guide, the clueless selfie hunters, the screaming children with chip packs in their hands, running around like in a playground. Please don't get me wrong. I love children. But the question is whether a place like this makes sense for young children, many of whose parents have little or no understanding of the purpose and value of the facility.
