✂️ Hair cut ✂️ Today we did the big haircut for Deacon and as sad as it was I mostly had to do it cause I thought I could cut his hair myself in my very sick state. Shoes I forgot to post a few weeks ago that Ava finally got her first shoes. We’ve been waiting for the go ahead from her physio because Ava needed to strengthen her ankles and feet before so she didn’t rely on the shoes to correct her form. We got the ok just before Christmas and we waited till the new year. As you can see Ava got 2 pairs!! One cute pink Shiney pair for home and the pushchair and some purple cat fabric ones for preschool. Such a different experience this time round and things I didn’t need to think of for the boys. 1- her first shoes at 2 and half. 2- soft bottom shoes as she’s still not walking. 3- waiting for the go ahead from a medical professional before buying them. 4- not being able to buy just any shoe but limited to what we can buy for her needs. 5- having to have her physio check her shoes, to make sure the fitting is good. 6- not being sure what to go for and struggling to decide what’s best for Ava. I could list a lot more but here’s a happier list. 1- she finally keeps her socks on. 2- she can’t take these off. 3- she looks so much more grown up with shoes on. 4- Ava wearing shoes is a milestone I didn’t think would hit me as hard as it did (🥹) 5- Ava loves wearing her shoes!! I honestly can’t express how different the experience has been and so many more experiences we have with Ava which are totally different to her brother but we do things Ava’s way and meet Ava’s needs just as much as we did the boys! Her extra chromosome just means all her milestones (no matter how small) mean a heck of a lot more as she’s had to work super hard to reach them!!
