Did a lot of walking today. First I took the ferry to Milsonβs Point and walked past the Luna Park to McMahons Point. Somebody had a romantic Valentineβs Day spot prepared. I took the ferry back to Circular Quay and changed to the ferry to Manly. There I did the Manly to Spit Walk 10 km along the northern harbour coast with a lot of bays and some beaches and a great view at the entrance of the harbour between North Head and South Head. Also a lot of lizards and birds along the way. Took the bus back to Manly and then the ferry back to Circular Quay. Finally did part of the Manly to Spit walk. Starting from Manly, it starts easy with concrete paths, but changes once you enter the national park. Path becomes a normal bush track...with lots of steps. If you don't mind the steps, and a long walk, the views are well worth the effort as the are absolutely stunning. Make your way up the paved access track and down the more challenging Smugglers Track. As you walk up the headland the views get better with every step you take. At the top you will be rewarded with picturesque views of the ocean beach, Ku-Ring-Gai National Park and views across Pittwater. The Manly to Spit walk is a ten-kilometre coastal hike through the stunning Sydney Harbour National Park and passes by some of Sydneyβs most picturesque harbour beaches. Along the way enjoy panoramic views of the majestic entrance to Sydney Harbour. You can start the walk from either end, but we prefer to start the walk from the Spit Bridge.
