I am in a quandary with Millie-Moo. As you may recall, she has bronchitis and, when it flares up, I am to give her Prednisolone to reduce the symptoms and give her some relief. The long-term use of steroids is no good thing and, I believe, this is where we are having issues with her tummy. I have spoken with the current vet and they tell me that there is no alternative to the treatment Millie is receiving. One of the unfortunate side effects of the drug is wetting. She cannot control it and, it is obvious to see, she hates it. It doesn’t happen often but it’s yet another thing to deal with. Is there anyone out there that has a dog with bronchitis? Did you find an alternative treatment? Did you go holistic? If so, did it work? How are you managing your dog’s condition? 𝕋ℍℝ𝔼𝔼 𝕐𝔼𝔸ℝ𝕊 // 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓃𝑔, 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝒹, & 𝓉𝒽𝓇𝑒𝑒! Sweet, sweet, little girl, how are you already three?! So many emotions today. Amelia is just a ball of energy these days. She loves to run around, play outside, climb on you like you’re her own personal jungle gym, and jump on everything. But she also loves to color, draw the silliest pictures, and read. Millie is a chatty Cathy and just talks, talks, talks. I feel like each day her sentences are just getting longer and longer. It’s quite amazing just sitting with your child and having a full on conversation with them, I love it. Millie loves to sing, dance, and laugh constantly. She loves food and will eat pretty much anything. She evens calls herself the 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯. We are also still breastfeeding, I know three years and still going strong! Amelia loves being in the kitchen with her dada and playing in the spices. They play some of the silliest games, build forts, and share chai tea. I just love their interactions. Millie is our light and joy. Watching her grow these past years has been very stressful, but I’m so very blessed. Arrived and checked in at the birthing center to be induced due to high blood pressure and possible preeclampsia. When I got to my room, Ashley, my nurse, got me all comfortable before getting everything started. She hooks me up to an electric fetal monitor and goes over everything. She checks my reflexes and looks a little alarmed. 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬. If you’re unfamiliar, clonus is basically hyperactive reflexes which is another sign of preeclampsia. Yikes, right? 8:30AM. Ashley’s getting the IV set up and getting the Pitocin ready.
