My friends warned me that going on vacation with three kids would leave me needing another #vacation just to recover, but, surprisingly Nothing has made me appreciate them more. Are there tantrums? Sure. Have I threatened them under my breath with a smile on my face in a plane full of strangers? Yep. But at the end of the day - the excitement in their voices, the wonder on their faces - I find myself looking at them and going - how lucky am I to have you three? Does the haiku mean I’ve lost my sense of self, the person I was before I had them? It means that having them has changed me irrevocably. It’s not just that each of their DNAs has crossed into my blood and is firmly entwined in mine. It’s not the fact that pregnancy has changed every part of my physique and altered my neurochemistry. It’s the (nearly) bottomless patience I now seem to have. The way I apologised to my kids after the mid-air threatening and how rotten I felt after it. It’s the mother-bear reflex thats slowly ridding itself of the people-pleaser in me. It’s the fullness in my heart that strains against pericardial constraints, it never seemed to be there before. I spent this week shut indoors as we braved potty training our youngest. My spitfire child proved to be my longest, most difficult training of all three kids. And anyone who knows June isn’t the least bit surprised. 😏 But as Abbie from @m.is.for.mama has coined: “Hard is not the same thing as bad”! So to celebrate our success, we took a day trip to a nearby nature park to play in the river and do some birdwatching. Here’s the point… Every mama understands those seasons of isolation, whether long or brief. The moments where God places you in the refining fires and holds you there. We feel them every time we serve our families, with every dinner prepared, every sick child tended to, every snowed-in winter and storming summer. Our never-changing God remains steadfast in our ever-changing reality. I am so thankful that He is with me when I so desperately want out of the fire. "That was SO MUCH fun!" 🥹 Love hearing these things from my toddler, even after needing to surf board her for the initial venture back to the car 😅 But I just had the best morning with these 3. It's been really cool to have this week with them. They are on spring break, and our baby girl is expected to arrive next week, so it really feels like a gift to have this opportunity to spend more time with each of them before that big transition. My SIL mentioned yesterday whether or not I'd love that or feel overwhelmed by it, and I realized that I had been truly looking forward to it. Slower mornings, more time for them to be home and be a part of getting things ready for baby, and just being with them...even despite the moments of bickering because Lord knows that's still happening! My goodness this girl! My first girl. The one who was on the inside while I was in the heart of my fitness journey. The one who would wake up early and join me for workouts and never complained. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing the right things with the way I want to teach my kids about wellness and nutrition; if I'm saying the right things, modeling things in the right way.... But then I think about her. Shes always looking for ways to challenge herself (and me 🤪) and her confidence is rarely shaken. Something I only learned as a mom, and here she is merely 6. Hey Friends 🫶 Ihr hoffe ihr habt die schönen Tage so gut genutzt wie wir ? Wir waren im Tierpark bei uns um die Ecke, das erste mal wo es Ayla so richtig aktiv mitbekommen hat. Als wir rein kamen ist sie total durchgedreht und zu den Schafen und Ziegen gelaufen 😝 sie war so aufgeregt und hat die ganze Zeit Ziegen Geräusche von sich gegeben. Als wir dann ins Gehege rein sind um sie zu füttern war sie ganz still. Das hat sie sich nicht getraut wie die große Schwester 🥹 Sie hat den Ziegen immer ein tierfutter Stück zugeworfen 😝 Solche Ausflüge möchte ich gern öfters mit den Kids machen. For 6 1/2 years, I did not want any more kids. I love being a mother and I adore my children, they’re amazing! But I loved our little family so much the way it was that I didn’t want it to ever change. But then, something started to stir inside me. God started tugging at my heart to have another baby. This was shocking to me and Will. Like, for years, I was actually terrified of getting pregnant. 🤦🏼♀️ The only way I can explain the change of heart is that it was the work of God. I did a complete 180. Will and I prayed for months over this little one. Should we have another? Can we have another? Are we getting too old? Is the age gap with our other children too big? And during that time, we both went from not wanting any more children to hoping God would bless us again. The waiting was hard but worth every second. Ever since Will & I turned our lives over to God, He’s changed us in ways I can’t even explain (Lord knows we needed it, we both had a bit of a wild streak in us). I’ve seen the effects on our children of putting God at the center of our household & it’s been so beautiful. It’s only because of Him that we are who we are today. I’m so grateful he’s giving us another sweet soul to care for & I pray we can raise her in His ways for His glory 💕 #motherhood #mommylife #mommyofthree #christianmotherhood #biblicalmotherhood

How does it make sense that my business is growing, at the same time my wellness routine has been way off while my body is also growing....another human? It comes down to finding new ways to fill my cup...aka feeling productive when all I want to do is sleep 😅 To the Kylee 4 years ago...this makes zero sense, until I break it down.... In the past 4 years I reprioritized what I really wanted out of my life. I focused on getting out of the post partum fog I realized I had been letting blanket everything I had been doing. I found a community of family focused mom friends who were building business with their authentic wellness routines, helping those around them in the same seasons, and really started believing in this business opportunity I dabbled with 6 years ago. It makes sense to me that now, while my body is utterly exhausted as I approach these last few weeks of pregnancy, that my mindset is stronger than it was. My belief is stronger than it was. And when I sit down (when I'm not napping) the easiest thing for me to do IS to work on my business, because it connects me with so many other people, while not leaving my couch, and it fills my soul at the same time. So to the old Kylee who would have seen pregnancy as an excuse, I'm so proud of you for slowing down, setting boundaries and taking care of yourself...because you are now doing the things you only dreamt were possible before.
