Maratona de Londres! A Maratona de Londres foi a 21 de Abril, mas a minha verdadeira maratona começou no dia 14 de Dezembro. Nessa altura estava a iniciar o ciclo de preparação para a maratona e sem razão nenhuma aparente, num treino, ainda durante o aquecimento, caí. Torci o pé e a primeira coisa que pensei foi: eu tenho uma maratona para correr, isto não podia ter acontecido. Mas aconteceu, um entorse do tornozelo esquerdo com direito, não só, a rotura parcial de alguns ligamentos, como também a edema ósseo. E aí começou a minha verdadeira maratona. Nunca deixei de treinar força (que é essencial) com o @paulofngoncalves e passei a ser cliente assídua do melhor fisioterapeuta do mundo, @filipemabrantes. Mas deixei de correr. Só voltei a correr no fim de Fevereiro e em modo de teste. Neste período todo o que eu mais treinei foi a minha cabeça. Nunca pensei em desistir. O pé foi reagindo bem e naquelas 7 semanas a prioridade foi ter volume de corrida para aguentar, de forma confortável, a maratona. O dia da Maratona chegou e eu não sei sequer exprimir em palavras o que senti. O que é cumprir uma maratona. Não é só cruzar a meta dos 42.195km, é concluir um ciclo absolutamente incrível. Um processo, um caminho com muitas curvas, muitos altos e baixos, muitas dúvidas. É acreditar! Acreditar em nós e em quem nos rodeia. Não se faz sozinho. Faz-se com muita ajuda da família (principalmente o marido), que me ajuda com a logística de 3 filhas pequenas, das amigas que são família, @silviadnunes, @evadegomespaz e @catmatteus (juntas corremos o mundo) e do treinador, @paulofngoncalves que bom tem sido este caminho, obrigada e já temos novos desafios. 💪🏼 A maratona ficou cumprida, a 2ª major, a maratona mais bonita que já fiz com uma festa tão bonita na rua a cada metro. E eu aos 30km percebi que se queria terminar bem a maratona tinha de gerir o esforço e assim foi até ao fim, a aproveitar cada passo. Muito obrigada, Londres! Se um dia repetir alguma maratona, esta é uma forte candidata. 🫶🏼 @londonmarathon

Still over here with a few meals the girls will eat 👋🏻😄it's a difficult one, would I like them to eat a more varied diet, yes. Would I like them to eat more fruit and vegetables?, also yes. However are they eating?, yes. Are they healthy? I would say also yes. Ava chooses to have school dinners even after giving her the option of packed lunch, this is massive! She pushes herself out of her comfort during the week so will always have food she is comfortable with at home. Lilah probably has the most restricted diet, I'm hoping when she starts reception and tries school dinners with her friends it will open up more foods for her. Are your children more likely to eat and try foods with their friends? I definitely feel this is the case for Ava.

Good morning. I'm just so proud and as it got a lot of love on my stories I wanted to share it on here. This is such a big achievement for Ava. When she first started she would avoid going under the water at all costs and would jump in holding the teachers hand. Now, she finds any excuse to go under 🥰😄 she is still very cautious at times as anxiety is Ava's biggest hurdle but wow is she doing it 👏🏻 and she is so proud of herself 🥹 Just need to convince Lilah to start lessons come September😄. Lilah had a trial one in February and wasn't convinced so will see again come September when she's a bit older. For me learning to swim is so important, it's such a life skill that literally saves your life. Did you know autistic children are 160 times more likely to drown compared to their neurotypical peers!

I think this is one of my favourite quotes. In life I have been a big people pleaser at the expense of putting myself out and bending over backwards for people who wouldn't necessarily do the same. The last couple of years my mindset has changed. I have got better at not giving a 💩 and distancing myself when needed. I'm not going to please everyone, everyone is not going to like me and that's fine. I have learnt to live my life and do what works for me, us as a family and the girls. I have found just letting the rest of it go so liberating and free. Not sure if it's being a Sen parent and not having the time to be drawn into drama or just with getting older and more comfortable and confident in myself? Anyone else the same?
