💚Monday Motivation💚 "Discipline is the difference between, what you want NOW and what you want MOST." So so true and especially in our world of health and nutrition and it's also the reason most people don't get where they want to or feel how they want to. Sometimes, scrap that most of the time we are fire fighting and struggling and under pressure so, what is the first thing to slide, our needs, goals what we most want because we are tricked into something that is saying have me instead now, I'm here, I'm easy and you're tired, stressed, energy is low so the fake lure of you need me, I'll give you a moment of dopamine is too much and we give in, feel crap and guilty, hate on ourselves and the cycle starts again... Obviously the A Game is not getting yourself in that position by being Uber organised, prepared, etc But reality is life will continue to bombard us with dramas, crisis, stuff in general and the one thing we do need to be super honest with ourselves about and that we do organise and prepare is getting ourselves the right help so we can have what we most want. Health and Wellbeing isn't a like to have, it's a necessity if you want to live your best life, and you have the absolutely right to want it most. Show day wrap up! I am just absolutely in awe and blessed to have been able to make it to the first ever @fmgshows_aust show in Sydney. What an incredible day and to have shared it with the most amazing ladies 🥹 I am so proud of myself for pushing through and reaching my goals while navigating this sometimes crazy life. Day 193(Year 2) I exercised on Saturday and went to work. Let's just day, it's well with my soul. I weighed 75kg that day. See me that weighed 79kg the other day. Na to lose weight after a wink of an eye. Nothing will stop me sha. I did my 7-minute stretches and Garry Becka's Breathwork. I did 10 reps of modified push-ups, -20 reps in 5 sets of 4kg arm weight bearing exercise. -20 reps of my back exercise with 2kg on each arm. I skipped ×300. *I did the following butt growing exercises:* -30 reps in 3 sets of good morning squats with 2kg in each arm. -30reps in 3 sets of RDL (Romanian dead lift) with 2kg on each arm. -30 reps only, of side fire hydrant -30 reps only of bridge with 4kg weight -20 reps only of band-assisted fire hydrant on each leg. -20 reps only of band-assisted donkey kicks on each leg. #fitmum #homeworkout #Onyelechiya #fitness #exercise

Breathing techniques commonly used in yoga are the perfect tools for children who struggle with impulsive behaviour and inattention. Cognitive Skills and Language Development I will often use yoga and other movement activities to work on direction-following and language processing. In order to follow along with a yoga sequence, kids have to be tuned into the yoga teacher and follow along with instructions. 6. Social Skills Doing yoga as a group only enhances the experience. Kids can feel one another’s energy, follow the example of others, and learn to be leaders. So I did a thing. I ran 5k!! Well, I did 10k actually. But I walked 2k warm up, jeffed 5k at run 30s and walk 90s, then walked a 3k cool down. And I didn’t die! I am actually really impressed by my run pace, even if it was only for 30second intervals. The pace is similar to where I was “before” my knee was murdered 3 months ago. No extra pain than usual. Recovery is key, and I’m about to chill on ice literally. 2weeks and 6 days until @gc30mainbeach - that isn’t too late to start training right? 🫣 Time to get my head back in the game after the specialist got in my head and messed with me, and this is exactly what I needed to do. My knee is never going to be ok. So it’s time to learn to manage it like the rest of my body. This place, this paradise 💙 First and foremost, once you enter, your busy mind switches off and nothing else exists but you, the wall and the positive vibes oozing out of the climbing community. Adored tonight's session @vauxwall ! Cursed the reachy moves, as always 😅 This blue: everything was a crux 😭. My legs were too short to reach the foothold, so really had to hold the swing on the sloper. As if that wasn't enough, the start itself takes your breath away - so burly! AND, as if that wasn't enough, you get pumped once you get past all the crux points (if you're 4"11' or under, then there are plenty!) You hang on for your dear life on crimps, sensing your elbows flaring with every passing second. ...and then, my most hated move - a pop to the top. BUT...I did it and I live to tell the tale (the last move that is, not the complete climb)! 📷 : on a vert. Trying out some anti-style. I made quite good progress yay! Spartan simulation this morning (being married to a PT who also has his own OCR coach has its perks) - really enjoyable. Nothing much to report aside from losing a chunk of hair getting the sandbag on my back and hating whoever invented the devil press (presumably Satan himself). Afterwards I had a bit of a play around with some of my weaknesses. I have a major fear of dropping/jumping down from heights, largely because I don't trust my hypermobile ankles not to just crumble. At Wolf Run last year I sat on the Devil Steps for ages trying to get the courage to jump down. So I set up some boxes and gradually increased the height. It may not seem like much but to me this was a huge achievement. I was never an active kid - I was uncoordinated, scared of everything and preferred to have my nose in a book - so this stuff is all so new to me but I'm determined to toughen myself up physically AND mentally. Then I took the 30kg ball for a little wander. Back in my powerlifting days I could load a 30-40kg atlas stone with no issues but last week it was essentially glued to the floor and I couldn't shift it. Today however it moved and, whilst it isn't quite a Spartan atlas stone when I'm wet and muddy, it's a damn good start. Today my sister and I took part in the Glasgow @kiltwalk Including rest stops we did it 22.7 miles in 8 hours. We were walking to raise funds for @gch_charity who are a fabulous charity that support units such as the one that my son Alfie was born into weighing a tiny 3lb15. For us this was 1 of 4 kiltwalks this year however for now I will rest my legs and hips and will give myself time to recover before we train for Aberdeen in 5 weeks 💜

Does exercise negatively impact Breastmilk supply❓🤔 The short answer is NO! 😃 However, the content of breastmilk can be altered slightly but these effects are only short term and have no known harmful effects to baby. 👍🏾 - For those who like them, here are the facts; ❤️After high intensity exercise, levels of IgA in breastmilk are decreased. IgA is an anti body which is passed to baby through breastmilk. IgA helps to protect against many germs, illnesses and disease. Levels of IgA in breastmilk will be restored after approximately 30 minutes. ❤️After high intensity exercise, levels of Lactic Acid can increase in breastmilk. However these levels settle back down within 90 minutes. ❤️Staying hydrated is important for breastfeeding women. A mothers body will prioritise what it needs for breastmilk, so minor dehydration will not instantly effect supply, however it can affect the mother as their body will draw from the mothers supply in order to adequately support baby. If a mother is significantly dehydrated, milk production may be affected, so it’s important to make sure to consume enough fluids throughout the day. ❤️Did you know that lactating breasts are approximately 35% heavier than normal 😮 And by 9 months of pregnancy the average woman’s breasts can increased by up to 2 pounds! So it’s important to support breasts adequately when exercising and breastfeeding. Good support can prevent discomfort or injury and aid good posture for postpartum women. ❤️Due to the above many women may choose to express prior to exercise however please note that the above changes are associated with high intensity exercise ⚠️ It’s important not to rush into high intensity workouts in the immediate postpartum period. We must create strong foundations in our core and in order to sustain exercise and reduce injury in the future! High intensity exercise should be avoided until a mother has been cleared for exercise by a medical professional and efficient postnatal rehabilitation work completed 💯 - Hopefully that helps to clarify things. 👋🏽 IM BACK!! 7 months postpartum and I am finally ready to get myself back into Fitness! For someone who loved keeping fit I thought I would bounce back and straight back into it after giving birth but I was the opposite, I struggled and the thought of it scared me. I couldn’t find the motivation whilst being pregnant and then my body needed to really recover after the birth of my beautiful baby girl. Today is the day I decided it’s time to start to get back to my normal self and start my fitness journey off again. I have really struggled with how my body has changed so much and I did not love it but have only started really realising that I have grown a little beautiful human being and it’s going to take time but I would do it all over again tomorrow. A women’s body is incredible and what it can do is exceptional and beautiful!!! After a long time off I am now ready to get my pre pregnancy body back. On va dire que c'était une semaine de reprise Il n'y a pas eu d'arrêt mais un allègement net de l'entraînement. Cette semaine retour de 3 runs, 1 séance corde à sauter et 1 séance renfo et beaucoup de marche grâce aux enfants 😅 En augmentant les volumes petit à petit on est en route vers de nouveaux objectifs. 🌸 Ultime journée du programme detox Printemps : 🔹Bol tofu soyeux poêlé au curcuma, pomme, chia, baies de goji, cannelle, amandes. Infusion d’hibiscus. 🔹Tofu gratiné au sésame, riz basmati et carottes vapeur curcuma. Thé vert. 🔹Poulet sauce au beurre de cacahouète et asperges poêlées à l’ail. Infusion de chicorée. Trois semaines de detox que j’ai réussi (à peu près ☺️) à suivre comme il faut. Un peu moins gonflée du ventre et presque 1,5 kg perdu même si perdre du poids n’était pas du tout le but. Je vais remettre progressivement les uns après les autres certains aliments supprimés pour cette detox. D’abord les laitages tels que yaourts, fromage blanc et fromage. Ensuite la viande rouge. Puis les céréales contenant du gluten pour voir si je constate un changement au niveau digestion. Toujours pas de sub40 mais un petit RP et une 3ème place ce matin aux 10km du bois de Boulogne. ⚡ Zéro prépa, zéro attentes, grosse surprise 😅 Dans les clous jusqu'au 5-6eme km, ensuite les faux plats et les virages ont eu raison de moi, ça a commencé à être fortement désagréable et je n'ai pas réussi à tenir l'allure. ⚡ Mais belle surprise à l'arrivée puisque qu'à quelques mètres de l'arche on me crie que je suis troisième 😁 ⚡ C'est d'autant plus marquant car cette course a une symbolique particulière pour moi, c'était ma première course officielle en 2017 et l'année dernière c'était ma première course post-partum. ⚡ Avec quelques semaines de prépa et un parcours plus roulant, ça devrait passer, j'y crois 🤞🏼

When you hear your coach increase your post workout cocopops 🤤 There’s always debate about whether a whole food organic diet is more effective than adding processed foods. What do I believe?…I find that personally when I stick to plain oats, rice, fruit, eggs, chicken and beef I look better. How much better…..not enough to make me give up my cocopops and weekly off plan meal for sure! 😍 Sticking to this diet consistently is for the elite.
