Who else is ready to run away from the children who have infiltrated every millisecond of your day, have trashed the house hourly & have kept you busy making 87 snacks & meals a day? Or is this just me? OMG it's insane, insane that I am shocked because I have been through the crazy 6 week Christmas break many many times before. It's about this time in the holidays where i give up all together, i give up worrying about the state of the house, I stop worrying that my teenagers are up all night and are sleeping all day and I just do the little things that make me happy. This morning was breakfast outside in the sunroom, well i have renamed it the Mug Room because of this crazy weather. Living in Melbourne we don't usually have to worry about humidity but this summer with this crazy hot wet days my sun room is more of a cosy green room as the flowers have never been so happy and are thriving which is very cool. The answer is... everything comes at a price, and the price is that my house is always messy AF, and my washing is never done. ๐ซ Sometimes I get short lived Mum guilt over this, but mostly I just remind myself that my kids will not remember the overflowingย 'laundry chair', but they WILL remember the times I played with them, and some of the adventures we had. I have vivid memories of being 3 or 4 and racing around the backyard playing 'Superted' with my Mum.
