Many of the things we do day to day are overlooked and undervalued. 🧹Mums are bearing the burden of childcare and household duties. 69% of mums say they devote 5 or more hours a day to child/household duties, but only 13% of partners devote the same amount of time. ⁠ ⁠ 😴Mums are tired!! 89% of mums report getting less than 8 hours of sleep each night. Either because we are staying up late or waking early to keep their household and careers running or have time for ourselves. After all, the 11-month-old baby is finally sleeping through the night, she suddenly decides that 4 am is a fantastic time to play, or refuses to have her second nap during the day. ⁠ ⁠ Welcome to the 12 months of sleep regression!⁠ 💤⁠ ⁠ This “12 months sleep regression” often manifests as nap strikes, resisting bedtime and waking throughout the night (sometimes for hours on end.)⁠ ⁠ The good news is that sleep regressions are temporary.
