But it's a fun and memorable lifetime experience, just ask the staff at the Drive Thru Tree in Myers Flat California. The Shrine Drive Thru Tree has been attracting visitors for years and thousands of travelers come from all over the world to experience a trip through an actual redwood! Located just four miles south of the Humboldt Redwoods State Park Visitor Center, it's an easy stop right on the Avenue. This spot is seasonal and they do close for the winter so be sure to hit the road soon! There is a minimal fee to drive through the tree. Kids also like the two 2-story tree houses and the children's walk-through stump.
