Gabon - Blossom-white sand, palm trees, shimmering sea: On Gabons west coast lies one of the loneliest and most beautiful beaches in Africa. But you won't see any people there, just animals: elephants, buffaloes, red river hogs, antelopes, monkeys and occasionally even hippos taking a dip in the ocean. 🎁Wir habens getan! Als Familie, drei Generationen - für eine intakte, liebens- und lebenswerte Natur. Heute vor genau 25 Jahren wurde die @succowstiftung als gemeinnützige Stiftung bürgerlichen Rechts offiziell anerkannt. Mit Sitz in @hansestadt.greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, wo unsere Familie ihre Wurzeln hat, mein Vater Michael Succow damals Univ.-Prof. war. Finanzieller Grundstock: das Preisgeld des Alternativen Nobelpreis, 1997 meinen Vater in Stockholm verliehen. Stiftungsziel: Naturschutz, national und international, Herzensanliegen und Lebensaufgabe meines Vaters. Stiftungszweck: Moorschutz, große Schutzgebiete (von world heritage sites bis UNESCO biosphere reserves) und ökologische Bildung. Vom ersten Tag an bin ich unserer Stiftung verbunden, anfangs als (ehrenamtliche) Geschäftsführerin, dann Mitglied im Stiftungsrat, seit 2021 nun in Nachfolge meines Vaters Vorsitzende des Stiftungsrates der Michael Succow Stiftung. Gemeinsam mit GF, Mitarbeitenden und Stiftungsrat blicken wir heute auf 25 Jahre erfolgreiche Stiftungsarbeit zurück. Unser Dank als Familie gilt insbesondere unseren Kooperationspartnern, befreundeten Stiftungen, NGO und unseren Förderern! Wertvolle Freundschaften in aller Welt sind über die Jahre entstanden.
