Day 2 of our road trip in Utah starts with a surprise snowy start to the day at our hotel just outside of Bryce Canyon. The snowfall made the whole journey even more scenic on the way to the park. As we arrived to Bryce point, we were surprised by the low hanging clouds but even more astounded as they suddenly lifted to reveal the grandiose views of the so-called amphitheater - a unique collection of rock spires formation known as the Hoodoos. There is an ancient native story that there was an ancient Legend People who lived in that area; however due to their bad deeds they were petrified into stone by the Coyote spirit. Some say that they can see the faces in the Hoodoos. It is a magnificent site. #brycecanyon #brycepoint #nationalpark #nationalparkweek

Bryce National Park - “The Art of Disappointment!” Weather happens. While last year, luck was on my side, this year got caught with heavy fog and light snow with no opening of blue skies! In its own way, the fog is striking and unique. On a clear day, one can see the hoodoos lightly dusted with snow this time of year. (Pic 7). The last three pics (8-10), were on the Scenic Byway outside the park. Utah Road Trip, Day 3: Bryce Canyon NP and GSENM. Started the day at 9115 ft at Rainbow Pt with at least a foot of powdery snow on the ground. A brief weather system in the morning made for dynamic conditions and beautiful skies. Happy New Years Eve everyone 🎉 I spent a majority of the year focused on reels but I cannot deny my love for a landscape photo 🥹 Please enjoy my fav top 10 pics from this with me 🫶🏻 In order: 1. Middle McCloud Falls, McCloud CA (my fav waterfall for 2023) 2. Zabriskie Point, Death Valley NP (one of the most unique landscapes I’ve experienced this year) 3. Big Bear Lake (time and time again I will never get tired of this view) 4. The Narrows Trail Head, Zion NP (seriously, one of my all time FAV hikes) 5. Seal Beach, CA (when we aren’t away for days at a time you can find us at the beach spending the day fishing) 6. Hume Lake , Sequoia National Forest (spent our anniversary in Sequoia this year and it was our first time at Hume. Fell in love with the area even more) 7. Wilder Ranch State Park, CA (decided VERY last minute to spend some time here and I am so glad we did! The views of the ocean were endless) 8. Heart Lake, Castle Crag Wilderness CA (I think this was my FAV hike of the year!) 9. Bryce Point, Bryce Canyon NP (everyone deserves to see this view at least once in their life) 10. 📍Bryce Point Overlook We finished our @brycecanyonnps_gov trip with visiting a few lookout points. 🙌🏻 One of the park’s most iconic viewpoints, Bryce Point provides a soaring view of the Bryce Amphitheater from the south. 🌲 The view and the park share the same namesake, Ebenezer Bryce, who settled in the Paria Valley to the east in 1870.
