The absolute Magick of natural Connection. So many emotions flowing currently, being sensitive is profoundly beautiful and also sometimes very intense. Nature stirs so many deeply emotional and spiritual connections within me. Honestly, all energy bodies come online in response.....it's also activating on a mental level and so achingly physical. When all senses are awakened and aligned, connections are incredible beyond words....when something as simple as holding a beautiful Rose induces a response on this level, I count myself truly blessed. Yet often in my youth I was told I was too sensitive.....back then it seemed shameful to feel so deeply, now I honour the gift with true heartfelt appreciation. When was the last time you felt profoundly moved beyond words by such natural connections? Perhaps it was a sunrise or sunset or the moon....I'd. love to hear about your experiences. Today, it was this stunning Rose for me. Last night, the vibrant orange waning gibbous Moon shining through the bathroom windows in the middle of the night. I've been moved to tears by dolphins playing in the waves in front of me and fish swimming between my legs recently too, by the beauty of the ocean illuminated by lightning and the liquid eyes of horses.....there's been so many incredible moments of natural connections already this year. The natural world that surrounds us, that flows through us, that is us, is incredible, we are nature, so let us awaken to the realisation of this more fully every day and endeavour to find the fathomless blessings within such exquisite experiences. I’m excited to announce, I watered my plants today!! You may be wondering why I’m making this a big announcement. You might be thinking, what’s the big deal or does she have a ton of plants? No, I only have 3 plants. And I’ve struggled to keep them alive. I don’t know a whole lot about keeping plants healthy and I usually end up killing them rather quickly. I even killed my air plant. That was my rock-bottom, and I chose to stop torturing plants. After this last year of illness, I decided I wanted more companionship and to practice nurturing some thing, other than myself. I really wanted a dog but knew now wasn’t the time for a pet since I was challenged with caring for myself. It occurred to me that I should give plants another chance to survive. And it’s taught me a lot about showing up and consistency. All 3 plants were dying, truthfully, I started out with probably 6 plants, and the other 3 died. I actually gave up on them and threw them away. It was too much and I only intended to start with 1 plant. Secretly, I hoped they would all die when I was in the hospital. I didn’t want to deal with them. I didn’t want the responsibility of having to nurture and sustain life. It’s hard! I tried to water the plants whenever I thought about it. So sometimes I watered them frequently and other times I didn’t water them for weeks. A friend mentioned to me that I should pick a day and water them that day every week. Sounds simple, but I didn’t want to do that. I go with the flow. I hate being told what to do or put on a schedule; even by a plant! Finally, I had to ask myself, what am I fighting? Why am I resisting? And I remembered it was my idea to bring plants into my life, so I needed to care for them. I put myself on a schedule that day and watered my plants. It’s been 3 weeks now and I consistently show up Sunday morning after my daily 333 Kundalini Yoga Meditation and water my plants. It’s simple and makes me happy enough to smile and dance.
