Our little apartment was always a hive of activity. I say 'ours' because I really did feel at home with my Couchsurfing hosts. They welcomed surfers whenever a bed was free; a constant stream of travellers and new faces. ~ One of these faces was Quisha. Julie had left a day or to ago and on a rare quiet evening my host came through the door with Quisha. No sooner had she arrived with a feather in her hair did she pick up the guitar and transfix us all for a good 15 minutes, closed eyes, rhythmic singing, pure peace and calm. ~ You quickly felt peaceful around Quisha, she was one of those very rare souls who emanated love and light, seeing the best in everything. She held up that childlike innocence we all once had and wasn't afraid to shout back with love and a smile to a stranger who grumbled at her, offer free sound baths with her Tibetan Singing Bowl to anyone she passed by, and danced the day away through the medina alongside the buskers. ~ But like a feather in the breeze, she didn't stay with us long. She couldn't. She is a true free spirit, moving through the world with very little possessions, getting by on the kindness of strangers and the trust of positivity and love. ~ I have met some lovely people over the years but nobody comes close to Quisha. If you ever meet a person like it you will know. You can't deny the positive, happy energy of a soul like it. Growing up i had many bullies who would torment me. They would make my life a living hell. I remember I would get beat up almost everyday. I also remember praying to God every night to take all those people away from my life. This guy right here was my bodyguard. I payed him 50 cents a week and he protected me from many of my bullies. I believe God put this man in my life for a reason. not only did he protect me when I was a kid he also protected me at an older age from even bigger monsters who wanted to kill me, for something I did.
