They say that you will only see a leopard if it wants to be seen. What a thrill to realize that this secretive cat decided you were worthy of its presence! Leopards are the hardest of the #Big5 to spot (no pun intended). Their rosettes diffuse and scatter light, making them very hard to see in grass or trees. Did you know that they don't have spots? Each "dot" is made up of a dark yellow or orange center with black markings around it--a rosette.
