Martha Lake Airport Park, Lynnwood We took Nicholas here after learning that this park was great for bike riding. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised at just how much there is to do here. ▪️Skate park ▪️Dog park ▪️2 large fenced off sports fields for soccer and football. ▪️Paved walking/bike path ▪️Baseball field ▪️Playground equipment ▪️Restrooms (currently closed) ▪️Covered area ▪️A glacial boulder. (Hubby and Nicholas had a fun time with their many attempts at climbing it) ▪️Duck pond Fun park with so many things to do. We did a grocery run at Town & Country Market and had lunch at Blazing Onion in the Mill Creek Town Center. Love that this park is only a few minutes away from there and that we decided to go after lunch. Most of the crowds were at the skate park. Leavenworth Reindeer Farm We had the most wonderful time here. At the start of the tour, we gathered around a campfire for a very informative lesson on the history,backgrounds, and care of the reindeers. We learned so much! It was so fun to see the growth progression of the antlers when they are shed by the reindeers once a year. We then spent some time inside of the pen where we interacted with the most sweetest reindeers. Sven is a charmer! Such a fun experience that I would love to continue doing as part of our holidays every year. Only next time, I would extend our stay into a weekend trip to enjoy all of Leavenworth in the wintertime. I highly recommend getting tickets in advance, they book fast! Before we took a whimsical walk on the Gnome Trail we stopped by the stump house to play. The inside is spacious that my very tall husband was able to stand inside. He even joked that the next time we are here, we will be renting out the stump house to stay in. (Fun dad!)The snowy path added an extra touch of fun finding the gnomes. If you continue on down the path, it leads you to Pacific Beach. I love that there so many beach access throughout the property. Finding the gnomes and seeing some of them peeking up from the snow was pretty cute. Some were so buried under the snow that Nicholas gently dusted the snow off of them so others could easily find them. (Thank you again, @outdoor.fun.for.kids.wa for recommending this fun to-do activity!) Seabrook, Pacific Beach (Each home has a name and this one is, A Sea Change) We have arrived and we are having a wonderful time on our winter coastal getaway. I instantly knew we had to book this cottage (as Nicholas refers it to) because the ladder up to the loft would be a hit with him, and it was! I am feeling all of the cozy winter vibes here. On the drive here we saw that the sandy beach was covered in snow! Legion Park, Everett We love this park! Not only is this playground very well sized, there is plenty to do in the area. The last few times we’ve been here we only played on the playground and did not get a chance to explore the rest of the area.This is a great place to watch a sunset and get a beautiful view of the sound. On our next visit we will make it a point to visit the arboretum and check out all of the plants and flowers. I hear it makes a lovely stroll! There is also a tennis court and a baseball field. We had a couple warm days this weekend, and the skies were so blue and pretty!
