What an amazing season! Thanks so much to THIS amazing team of people who made this great season happen for our kids! To our coaches, we are grateful for your time, energy, passion, guidance, and patience with boys. Thank you for always pushing them to be their best both on and off the ice. To Nicole our trainer, thank for making sure our boys were safe, for treating them when their injuries were big and small and for always being bringing a sense of calmness and support to the bench. 🌬 Another oldie but goodie! This was the very 1st jute bag I drew on back in 2020. As with every new bag type, it took getting used to. But working on this bag gave me an epiphany. An important one which influenced my subsequent bag designs (especially jute bag designs) till today. Whatever discoveries made during my journey is meaningless to anyone else. But for me personally, they are little nuggets of treasures which help me improve. And develop my style. A huge thank you to this bag mama. Serendipity made us friends & she has been along for the ride, almost from the start of my bag journey. We may be different in character, taste & style. We may not agree on everything but friends aren't supposed to just nod & agree on all matters anyway. A few months ago our beloved Rosie visited from the US and the one thing she wanted to do was visit the dogs at Kim's Home for Elderly and abused dogs. Wendy takes in all sorts of hard to place dogs, nearly all have health problems and she only sleeps a few hours a day. Her amazing home is in Cardiff and she has a private field where she walks them. I’ve heard people say to get involved with karate to strengthen your focus. My son has ADHD and a police officer encouraged us to put him in karate to help with his impulse issues. This was the best decision we made for him! It’s like having another family, the leaders, the kids, the other families. Sensei treats each one like his own and if they are having a bad day, he understands but still gives that tough love and hugs when needed. Last night, Mikah received his purple belt💜not sure if his focus is any better but he’s certainly learned things we as his parents couldn’t teach him! Caja del Rio Community Listening Session It’s no secret that the Caja del Rio is a unique and special landscape to so many New Mexicans and is an area with a vibrant and culturally rich history. Sadly, the Caja faces consistent threats including vandalism of sacred sites, illegal dumping and shooting, and misuse to the land that disrupts the native plant and wildlife. As we continue the fight to protect this vital landscape, we’re inviting the community to join us for a series of in-person listening sessions where you can learn more about the Caja, meet members of the coalition, and learn how you can get involved.
