Korea has been a favourite country for its playful approach to public safety. Cartoon characters are everywhere; safety videos on trains, emergency procedures in public places, and in every store window. When a metro train is approaching, you hear upbeat trumpeting music. Best of all is the happy mechanical music that the garbage trucks will play as they collect the rubbish. We’ve mistaken them for ice cream trucks. On Friday we went to the Bay Pavilions, a waterpark at Batemans Bay. For the three of us it only cost $60.90. This included 3 hours of water slide access. There is a Cafe, indoor and outdoor water play and indoor pools. If you aren't interested in the water slides, it is only about $7-$8 to access the pool and splash areas. The three of us, especially Evie, enjoyed all the slides multiple times. There are lots of lifeguards diligently on duty in multiple areas. After some relaxing time at the beach, we headed back to camp. Evie had a quick go at the jumping pillow, then it was time to rug up and enjoy a fire. We stayed at the Moruya Easts Big 4. Monte carlo in a day... 1. Monte carlo harbour, just beautiful and lined with nice restraunts which were surprisingly not as expensive as you think, we decided to have a mexican called old wild west @oldwildwest_montecarlo 2. Princes collection of cars, €25 for the 4 of us. Apparently he has around 100 with a net worth of 100 million. 3. They were setting up for the e- grand prix which was pretty cool, Martin got to stand on the race track and we saw all the cars being delivered by DHL and being set up by the track team. 4. Monte carlo casino, pretty busy and underwhelming but did found it interesting to learn that the hotel de Paris which is next door was used by Hiltler and the nazis as a base in world war 2. 5. Saint Nicholas cathedral, beautiful and worth the walk. 6. Princes Palace, equally as impressive and loved the little village on the top of the hill. Toilets near by and a stunning beach, with a car accessible one only a short drive away.. $10 a night 👏 It was absolutely beautiful weather for the most part of the day and a cool change the following day. We took advantage of the weather, set up, packed some lunch and headed straight for the beach. It was a fantastic afternoon, dolphins came by just as we arrived, the kids did some swimming, snorkelling, caught the little waves and of course fishing. The cool winds started in the late afternoon, Shane and Ruby made a slice and cooked a yummy diner. Campsite was great, we were really lucky to get the first site though as the rest looked small. Alors on a cherché comment essayer de revivre au moins une partie d’un grand voyage et c’est donc le 26 juin que nous partirons pour 2x8 semaines sur les routes du monde … mais pas à 5 …. Notre grande ne souhaite pas perdre un semestre au CEGEP et c’est correct ! Amalfi coast part 1 🇮🇹🍋 Bucket list check for this one ✔️ Our second stop on our Italian tour was the Amalfi coast and it was stunning. I see why so many people love it here. Truth be told we were definitely a bit early for prime time season, and we didn’t get dealt the best hand for weather but we did what we do best and made the most of it. Lemons galore, beauty everywhere you look, and the most delicious fresh seafood. Cash has expanded his palate for dinner and had decided that mussels and clams are now his favourite food. Jeonju struck us as a modern city built around a cultural village. The heart of the place was definitely the large temple from the last dynasty. The cultural village is beautiful! We couldn’t get enough of the wooden buildings and ornate clay tiles. We attended a walking tour and learned about past and present customs of Koreans, the statues that act as guardians, the symbolism of the colours on their clothes, and why certain food items remain popular. Can not keep the kids out of the water! But who could blame them... it is so lovely in the South Pacific! @plantationfiji resort has the most amazing beach front! It is perfect to swim and paddle in for kids. No strong waves or currents, and it steadily increases in depth. At low tide you can walk out a fair distance and it's knee to hip height which is fantastic. At high tide, take advantage of a kayak or the inflatable playground on the water! Also, there are so many fishes to see..the water is so clear! Plus, there is some pretty good snorkelling off the beach too *will post about that later*. For those not keen on the ocean, there are so many pools! One with slide for kids... another not too deep one with inflatibles and a bit in the middle that kids can hop onto (it's a couple inches deep) and play on... one with an amazing sunset view and bar right there and another over looking the main beach near the main restaurant.
