Been trying to find a copy of this show for years. (English title is The Left Wing Gang) Never seen it, but it stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (who plays Jaime Lannister in G.O.T.) and is a dramatized version of the story of the blekingegade gang which I first read about in the book “Turning Money Into Rebellion: The Unlikely Story of Denmark’s Revolutionary Bank Robbers” by Gabriel Kuhn (which I bought off of @pmpress , you should check them out, they’re an independent marxist publisher, also they send cool stickers when you buy a book.) Basically a group of danish communists in the 1980s robbed millions from banks to raise money for the PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) before eventually being caught and sentenced. Anyway after years of searching streaming services and 🏴☠️ websites, I finally found one dvd copy on eBay. Should be arriving in the mail in about two weeks, if anyone is interested in watching it I will be digitalizing it/ adding English subs to it and will send to anyone who wants it.

Just finished “On Zionist Literature” by writer and PFLP spokesman Ghassan Kanafani. The text is a tour de force investigating how culture, narrative, and myth making can overwhelm obvious historical truth. It looks at how Zionist authors from Europe constructed a story of Jewish identity that enhanced a specific colonial and class project- redefining thousands of years of history and culture to serve a narrow political position. It looks at how fiction came to shape both Israeli and US policy- defining a racist, colonialist, and ultimately fictitious version of history, that withstood the opposition and critique of actual historians and people who lived through the events described. From our archive: Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين) or PFLP. A Palestinian, Marxist-Leninist secular organisation founded by George Habash in 1967, and the second largest party of the PLO coalition. The PFLP fights for a one-state solution: a secular, democratic Palestine, where Arabs and Jews would live without discrimination and sharing the same rights. The PFLP is also known for actions such as airplane hijackings, several of them led by Leika Khaled, although the movement rejects the use of suicide bombings.
