It is estimated that Israel has dropped more than 70,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip in addition to its bulldozing operations and continue to erase Palestinian identity from the Gaza Strip and sever the historical and ties between the land and its Indigenous people. Genesis 12:3 The very common evangelical interpretation of this verse has always left me with so many emotions. Sorrow, anger, frustration, hopelessness to name a few. When people have recited this to me as I’ve challenged their support of what they interpret to be the modern day state of Israel, there is that sinking feeling in my stomach that says, “What about me?
