✨SPOILER FREE REVIEW✨ House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas 4.6🌟/5 What the Hel just happened? That ending - wow, wow, wow. I accidentally saw a spoiler on TikTok a few weeks ago and yet I’m somehow still blown away? This book was just SO GOOD. It definitely was a bit slower than the first one - with less of an overall mission of urgency - and there were bits that felt like a bit of an afterthought from the first book, but I genuinely couldn’t put it down. I adored seeing the development of certain characters and relationships in this one - I am BEYOND attached to everyone. And - let me tell you - the spice in this was *chefs kiss*; the perfect level and quantity to not distract from the action while still feeling realistic and raw and amazing. Y’all need to read this series immediately and then let me know what you think about that GODS DARN ENDING UGH! Is this book a banger? Yes, I’m still trying to catch my BREATH!

The story entices you in straight away, starting off with Alicia’s diary. The chapters go between Theo’s POV (Theo is the psychotherapist who wants to get Alicia talking) and Alicia’s diary and I loved how you get a insight into Theo’s personal life and how it intertwined with Alicia’s diary and also getting to the main plot points of working with Alicia to get her to speak. It’s hard not to say much without giving anything away but this book blew my mind, I wasn’t expecting such a clever story and the shocking twist at the end was just something else! The book for me was very gripping, fast paced and I just loved how short the chapters were. The ending kind of just ended and I felt like I needed a little more bit more. But having said that it didn’t ruin the book for me and I would highly recommend it.
