Одно из самых популярных мест для встреч в Москве — у памятника Пушкину на Пушкинской площади. Изначально памятник стоял в другом месте. Его установили в 1880 году на Тверском бульваре, чётко напротив нынешнего места, на противоположной стороне Тверской улицы. До 1931 года Пушкинская площадь называлась Страстной из-за одноимённого монастыря, который находился напротив. После революции, в 1919 году, монастырь был упразднён, однако ещё несколько лет на его территории проживали более двухсот монахинь. Но затем храмовый комплекс решили снести. На месте Страстного монастыря разбили скромный сквер, а Пушкин «перешёл» улицу, или как многие тогда шутя говорили: «Пушкин прошёл через Горького». В 1927 году по соседству со Страстным монастырём, на месте дома XVIII века, который ранее принадлежал Марье Ивановне Римской-Корсаковой, было возведено здание газеты «Известия». В 1937 году был снесён Страстной монастырь. В 1948 году памятник Пушкину был перенесён с другой стороны улицы на место монастыря по личному указанию Сталина. More than three decades after it became the first American fast food restaurant to open in the Soviet Union, McDonald's said Monday that it has started the process of selling its business in Russia, another symbol of the country's increasing isolation over its war in Ukraine. The company, which has 850 restaurants in Russia and employs 62,000 people, pointed to the humanitarian crisis caused by the war, saying holding on to its business in Russia “is no longer tenable, nor is it consistent with McDonald's values.” The Chicago-based fast food giant said in early March that it was temporarily closing its stores in Russia but would continue to pay its employees. Without naming a prospective Russian buyer, McDonald's said Monday that it would seek one to hire its workers and pay them until the sale closes. As it tries to sell its restaurants, McDonald's said it plans to start removing golden arches and other symbols and signs with the company's name. It said it will keep its trademarks in Russia. The first fast food restaurant in the USSR and Russia, McDonald's, opened in Moscow on Pushkin Square on January 31, 1990. The appearance of a new institution, which stood out sharply against the background of traditional Soviet catering, became a real sensation for the USSR. That morning, before the opening of the restaurant, there was a queue of over 5 thousand people. To get into the unprecedented McDonald's at that time, people stood in line for several hours. On the first day of opening, the restaurant served 30 thousand people, which became a record for the number of visitors served by McDonald's in one day. At that time, the first Russian McDonald's was the largest in the world: 700 seats inside the building, 200 seats outside and 27 cash desks for uninterrupted service. Russian people who were used to the relaxed Soviet service were impressed by the standards of Western service: polite and smiling waiters made an extremely positive impression. It is worth noting that with an average salary of a Soviet person of 150 rubles, a hamburger in the first McDonald's cost 1.5 rubles, and a Big Mac cost 3.75 rubles. Дом под юбкой 💃🏻 ⠀ Типичная сталинская постройка в центре Москвы. Благодаря угловой башни на верхней части здания, которая бросается в глаза гуляя по Пушкинской площади, дом и имеет своё такое неординарное название ⠀ До 1958 года на этой башне грациозно стояла примерно 3х метровая балерина., а дом фактически находился под её юбкой. Вскоре её демонтировали из за аварийного состояния, но угловая башня так и продолжает хранить её историю ⠀ Помимо этого на крыше чередуются более мелкие башни, которые хорошо вписались и выглядят достаточно интересно со звездами на верхушках ⠀ Спасибо @na_p0dhvate что сходили после пасмурной погоды ещё раз, и не зря!!
