. In April 1945, Mussolini said to one German, "Death has become a friend who no longer frightens me. Death is a gift from God to those who have suffered too much." . On this day in 1945, Benito Mussolini and his mistress were captured by the Italian Communist Partisans as they were fleeing to Switzerland. The Partisans strongly believed that the Duce should be held for trial by us, not the Allies. The Communist executioner, "Walter Audisio," who was also a Spanish Civil War veteran, pulled the trigger of his submachine gun. It jammed. He yelled to one of the partisans, who dashed halfway to meet him and exchange weapons. A short burst from the MAS-38 in Audisio’s hands punched into the wife of Mussolini, tearing her from her lover’s grasp. "Shoot me in the chest,” Mussolini said as he pulled back the lapels of his jacket, and it was all over: Benito Mussolini was dead by about 4:20 p.m.. The bodies of Mussolini and his mistress were taken to the Piazzale Loreto in Milan, at the same spot where 15 Partisans were killed by Axis soldiers in 1944. The angry crowd hung their bodies upside down and began abusing them. On April 29, the Allied Forces took control of the situation, and their bodies were buried in an unmarked grave. His remains were there only until 1946, when they were stolen. Nevertheless, it was recovered by the authorities, they were moved again, and finally, in 1957, the remains of Mussolini were released to the family to be ultimately interred in the family crypt. . Similar to the Scouting organisations of the Western world, Pioneers learned skills of social cooperation and attended publicly funded summer camps. Title: CHANGE IS GOING ON! <聖彼得堡建城300週年紀念公園> W3 拜三 禮拜三不用上課，在Ig上看到這座公園居然同時豎立沙俄國旗、蘇聯國旗以及俄羅斯聯邦國旗，便前往一堵此奇景。 地鐵站一出來，不用看地圖就能找到方位，因為巨大的旗幟相當顯目，難以忽視。公園佔地38公頃，聽說原本規劃地更大，但是後來一半的土地拿去蓋建案了，或許這也是附近為何很多商場的原因。 公園臨海，設有一沙灘，可惜的是這次去的時候在施工，加上當日最高溫不到5度，芬蘭灣的海風吹得我好凍，在此有一對店員在推銷公司的App，我也莫名其妙下載了。 回程，發現走過跨海大橋的話也會有一座地鐵站，想說換換風景，便走去海另外一頭的地鐵站。還未上橋，便發現武裝警察把橋給控制住了，機動車輛上不去，只能步行或騎電動滑板車過橋。過橋後才發現，原來海的這面是一座本地足球隊的球場，而且今天還剛好有比賽！客隊是來自喀山的球隊，也是我很想拜訪的城市。隔天查手機發現本地的球隊以0-2敗下陣來。 #russia #россия #ussr #ссср #300years

1990 socioeconomic collapse aesthetic yasss 😍 UMMMM I wasn’t going to make a video about this but then I met this barista girl in a matcha cafe in East Berlin and OMG OKAY…so: she immigrated from UK and like…bless her and love UK, but I could tell she’s a trauma aesthetic seeker because of how she spoke and her makeup and her hair and her vibe😭 I eavesdropped her convo with a customer and she was like “thank god I moved here” etc etc. her vibe gave me East Germany 1980s but her accent was full on London 😭 she looked full-on goth aesthetic, complete with white makeup, a nose ring and black dyed hair. back in the day, in Eastern Germany this look was a form of protest. but what is she protesting about now is she protesting about having matcha clumps in her latte or her $7 Ryanair flight 😭😭😭 um anyway of course she’s allowed to fit in to troöma aesthetic and whatever and get a nose ring and be an East Berlin goth. and it’s so awesome that everyone has freedom but my prediction is that people are getting bored of cute vibes and wanna move to Berlin. Poland hasn’t been subject to foreigners coming here to seek meaning of life and open a coffee shop with exposed concrete walls aesthetic YET but soon enough. it will be the next big thing. and yes this video is about Eastern Europe and I know that Poland and East Germany are both in Central Europe but that’s the point of the video because everyone thinks that Poland was the capital of USSR or something. also anything that went through sovietization has the same vibe today.
