It lays bare the stark fact that nature is still seriously declining across the UK, a country that is already one of the most nature-depleted in the world. The data show that since 1970 UK species have declined by about 19% on average, and nearly 1 in 6 species (16.1%) are now threatened with extinction. This is a timely reminder, if we needed it, that the nature crisis isn’t restricted to far-off places like the Amazon or Great Barrier Reef. It is right here, on our doorstep. So thankful I got to see most of my family today for Jaxon's volleyball game. Being together and cheering him on was just what I needed today. Made my heart happy. It's strange how sometimes the anniversary of Columbine can impact me in different ways. This year seemed different somehow. Maybe because it's been 25 years, maybe it's because my kids are growing up in a messed up world, maybe it's because I've been working in a school for the past 5 years. Whatever it is, I'm reminded that the trauma I and all my fellow Rebels experienced was life changing, to say the least. As time goes by, I learn how to deal with certain things that come up and to know when enough is enough. Thinking of my Columbine Family today and hoping everyone has the support they need. Today was the funeral for Nature in Bath. It was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever lived. It was moving and inspiring. This is one of the @redrebelbrigade members out of over 400 present + many mourners in black for Mother Nature. Hopefully this is the last time this needs to be done and many people join in making a better future for all of us. I will upload more photos of these as days go by, besides the regular ones. 25 years ago, on April 20, 1999, I was in my 3rd grade classroom when our school suddenly went on lock down. This was the first time I’d experienced anything like this, I had no idea what was going on. I remember my mom picking us up and racing home to put on the news. This was the first significant event I remember watching unfold live on television, one of the few days of my childhood I remember quite vividly. Of course, I didn’t truly understand what I was witnessing or the gravity of the situation occurring just a few miles away at Columbine High School. What I do remember is the impact it had on my life and those around me. This tragedy brought our community closer together; it created a closeness between so many families that is impossible to explain. It shaped us with strength, resilience, and hope. I went on to attend Columbine High School just 5 years later. I was surrounded by students and teachers whose families were directly impacted by the tragic events that took place that day. I was taught by teachers that were there that day, that helped save the lives of their students and peers. Our principal, Frank DeAngelis made a promise that he would remain principal until all of the students in Columbine feeder schools at the time of the shooting had graduated, and he fulfilled that promise and went on to retire in 2014. It takes an amazing human to come back and walk those halls again, let alone teach or run the whole place for years to come. Yet so many did and still do; I have an incredible amount of respect for those who have. Columbine is such a special place, but it’s much more than that — it’s family. And I’m forever grateful to be a part of the Rebel Community. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase and allowed me to make a donation to help restore and maintain the Columbine Memorial Foundation, a place designed to remember the 13 lives lost, 25 years ago today. Some people suspected this period of time was actually part of a military operation to showcase the world that the coup was accepted by people of Myanmar since there is only nationwide silence, without any actions of resistance. 2.424.242 lastbillæs med hver 33 tons jord skal i løbet af de næste 30 år fragte 80 millioner tons jord til Lynetteholmen. Det er over 200 læs om dagen. Vi blokerer dette vanvid. I dag mandag morgen d. 15/4 vil vi forhindre lastbiler i at køre til og fra byggepladsen. Vi stiller os som bekymrede borgere i vejen for et byggeprojekt, som for længst skulle have været skrinlagt. Projektet er en farlig cocktail for havmiljtøet i Øresund og hul i hovedet i vores eskalerende klimakrise. Planen er at bruge forurenet jord som fundament, hvilket vil ødelægge livet i hele Øresund og Køge Bugt. Med Anlægsloven i hånden etablerer man Danmarks største jorddepot Lynetteholmen og med fare for udsivning af miljøfarlige stoffer direkte ud til eksisterende blandingszoner. Dette uden at der foretages nogen sikring af, at det allerede belastede overfladevand, derved forringes yderligere. Desuden vil projektet udlede unødvendige mængder CO2. Verden står i en altomfattende klimakrise, og derfor er det vigtigt, at vi bruger vores ressourcer varsomt og beskytter den natur, vi har tilbage. Planen er, at Lynetteholmen skal huse 35.000 beboere og 35.000 arbejdspladser med tilhørende motorvej og metro – et sådant projekt er umuligt uden at forurene, udlede enorme mængder CO2 og forbruge alt for mange sparsomme ressourcer. Vi skal ikke bygge nyt, men fokusere på at gøre vores samfund regenerativt. Az LNG, azaz cseppfolyósított földgáz olyan földgáz, amelyet a nyomásmentes tárolás vagy szállítás megkönnyítése és biztonsága érdekében folyékony halmazállapotúvá hűtöttek le. Miután az LNG-t szobahőmérsékleten újra gázosítják, ugyanúgy használják fel, mint bármely más földgázt. Az LNG nem zöld! Bármennyire is szeretnék alacsony kibocsátású üzemanyagként beállítani. Jelentős mennyiségű metánt bocsát ki - egy olyan káros üvegházhatású gázt, amely 80-szor erősebben tartja meg a hőt a légkörben, mint a szén-dioxid. Az LNG-termelés és -fogyasztás helyi és globális szinten is aránytalanul nagy hatással van a színesbőrű és alacsony jövedelmű közösségekre, ami egyértelműen állandósítja a környezeti igazságtalanságokat. Az LNG nem fogja megoldani az energetikai kihívásainkat. Súlyosbítani fogja azokat. Az orosz-ukrán háború kezdete óta 26 új terminál létrehozását jelentették be az EU-ban, pedig ennyi földgázra nincs is szükségünk. Ráadásul legalább fél évtized, amíg ezek megépülnek, közben haladunk a klímapokol felé vezető úton. A földgázra irányuló „aranyláz” alapjaiban ássa alá a klímacélokat. Új gázinfrastruktúrába fektetni Európában hamis megoldás. A Climate Action Tracker szerint, ha a 1,5 °C-os klímacélt tartani akarjuk, akkor 2045-re teljesen le kell mondanunk a gázról.
