Crystal Cove State Park is a special stretch of beach along the Southern California coastline. The reflections off of the water can be amazing at sunset time. You can walk barefoot in the surf for 3 miles, there are also 15 miles of trails to hike, bike or ride horses along the seaside bluffs and in the adjacent hills. This is a great place for a day trip. “I brought my prism since you said it was going to be a beautiful day.”-V Playing with light during our Saturday bike ride stop for shakes and such got me thinking... we have to experiment with light to learn and see all the cool things we can do with it. Light is another way to refer to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His way can bring light to our dark days and direction to our unclear paths, but we need to experiment with it just as we did yesterday and be certain to notice with childhood amazement when the light creates noticeable things for us. It was pretty rad seeing the duplicates of the prism made, shining reflections and of course rainbows as we moved the prism around in different ways. This experimentation with light was fun and exciting and so too can be experimenting with the light of Christ. Once you have experimented a bit don’t feel nervous to share your amazement with others. When we have experiences (whether positive or negative) it is natural to share them with others. Maybe next time you think to share the Light of Christ with others increase your enthusiasm and connect with that inner child who is stoked to realize all that they could make with just the sunshine and a piece of glass. I know in my life the amazement doesn’t stop... yet each and every time I see, feel and or recognize how the teachings and love of our Savior play a role in my life I am blown away as if I just witnessed the greatest magic trick in the world or I am seeing my favorite movie for the first time.
