A fost un exercițiu drăguț de imaginație, Lara a fost foarte încântată. Regenbogentoast🌈 Heute war es zwar endlich soweit und die Sonne hat sich tatsächlich mal wieder ein wenig gezeigt, aber die letzten Tage waren hier eher trüb und grau😏 Wir mussten uns also unbedingt mehr Farbe nach Hause holen! 😉 Habt Ihr schonmal Euer Toastbrot gefärbt? Das geht tatsächlich super einfach, macht riesigen Spaß und das Abendessen hat hier gleich mindestens doppelt so gut geschmeckt 😅 Das "wie" ist eigentlich ganz simpel: wir haben lediglich etwas Milch aufgeteilt und jeweils mit ein paar Tropfen Lebensmittelfarbe eingefärbt. Mit sauberen Pinseln und/oder Pipette konnten die Jungs auf den Brotscheiben ihrer Kreativität dann freien Lauf lassen, ehe es in den Sandwichtoaster ging (schaut, dass das Toast nicht zu sehr getränkt ist, das schafft der Toaster sonst wahrscheinlich nicht mehr 🙈). DIY Weihnachtskarten Das Wort "basteln" stößt hier bislang meistens nicht auf Begeisterung, sondern wird eher mit einem leicht genervten Stöhnen quittiert. Wie schaffe ich es so, trotzdem selbstgemachte Weihnachtskarten mit den Jungs zu erstellen? - Ich verpacke das Basteln in ein Experiment! 🤩 Am Ende unseres gestrigen Wasser-Öl-Experiments haben wir gemeinsam noch einige weiße Papierbögen in das Gemisch getaucht und sie zwischen zwei Blättern getrocknet. Daraus entstanden ist beinahe so etwas wie Pergamentpapier - das Papier schimmert, die Farben strahlen und es läßt sich wunderbar weiter verarbeiten! Nach dem Trocknen flux ein paar Tannenbäume ausgeschnitten und auf Pappkarten geklebt - fertig waren unsere ganz individuellen DIY-Weihnachtskarten, auf die sogar unsere Anti-Basteln-Jungs richtig stolz waren! ☃️ Build a Snowman ☃️ We’ve been doing a lot of sensory activities lately, so the first thing the boys did when they woke up was run to their sensory table to see what I put together for them today. 🤍 They were so excited to play with it and couldn’t wait to dig in! Lol I love that both of the boys can play with sensory activities even though they are in different stages. Little L loved putting all the pieces of the snowman together while baby N loved squishing the playdough in his hands and exploring all the different textures of everything. Because he still puts things in his mouth, he had to be closely supervised with this activity. Swipe right to see them in action. To make the “snow” playdough, I used a recipe from @theimaginationtree. I liked it because it was very similar to my recipe, it just substituted cornstarch for flour. Here’s the recipe: 1 c cornstarch 1/2 c salt 1 tbsp cream of tartar 1 tbsp oil 1 c water Glitter (optional) Mix all the dry ingredients in a pot on medium heat, and then add in the wet ingredients, stirring until it forms a ball. Cool the dough on a piece of parchment paper before use. You could add glitter, but I wanted to keep this recipe as baby friendly as possible. And that’s it! I added twigs, black beans for the buttons, googly eyes, and top hats (link in bio). 🏠Gingerbread House Decorating🏠 Today on our advent calendar was decorating a gingerbread house! We started this tradition last year when little L was 2 and he absolutely loved it. He kept asking me to add frosting every day so he could keep putting more candy on it. Lol! So I wanted to keep the tradition alive this year and do another one with both of the boys this time....I’m not gonna lie guys, my 17mo only wanted to take allllll the candies off of the house and eat them 🤦🏻♀️ but it was still a fun activity and one I think we will enjoy year after year. Now for a movie and cup of hot cocoa to calm my nerves 🤪 We’ve got another fun Christmas activity coming up on our advent calendar tomorrow. Let your child search for the different objects in the bin freely or ask them to find an object. You can even have your child tell you what to find.
