Back in Kyoto, after three days in Tokyo with one full day of travel on either side. It almost seems like a dream. But the photos prove otherwise. As you see, a lot of time with Christopher, and all of it a lot of fun. He chose kaitenzushi for three of the four meals we ate together. 😆 Day one we got kind of trapped in Shibuya, and both meals at @uobei_genki . Uobei was fun. But honestly, it was the only fun part of Shibuya. Day two we headed to the Science and Nature museum in Ueno Park. The museum had a LOT of fun things for us to experience. And the bonus was an outdoor antique market with a long line of yatai, “food vendors”. Day three was a solo journey to Hatagaya to meet Rob Mayes, of @failsafe_records , and begin tracking piano and vocals. Rob’s a great guy, and an excellent engineer and producer. Big shout out to @leighfranklinmusic for the introduction. Leigh is a talented singer and songwriter with a uniquely beautiful voice. Go listen to her on whatever platform you use to stream music. Last meal in Tokyo at the same place as the first, Ramen Yamanaka Nogyou. The gyoza were as delicious as the ramen. Highly recommended. Final shot from the train during the beginning of sunset.
