DISCOVERY S05E05: Espelhos – Após uma melhor investigação de onde a última pista havia os deixado, a tripulação da Discovery descobre um buraco-de-minhoca oculto e Michael decide atravessá-lo ao lado de Book. Chegando lá, encontra a nave de Moll e L’ak destruída, mas um verdadeiro tesouro: a ISS Enterprise, perdida, do Universo Espelho. Apesar de já começar exigindo boa vontade do espectador, com o papo do buraco-de-minhoca invisível e imperceptível, o capítulo empolga bem em seu início: a nave dos antagonistas destruída e encontrar um resquício do Universo Espelho foi bem legal, criando uma antecipação para o que viria. Infelizmente, não há muito. Com exceção de descobrirmos o real rosto de uma espécie, toda aquela situação é despropositada. Há uma contribuição para o lore de Star Trek ao sabermos mais sobre as “Reformas de Spock” – que, por sua vez, também implica em algumas contradições, já que fontes prévias havia dito que elas tinham um resultado e aqui implicam em outro, ainda que não necessariamente sejam excludentes – mas poderia ser qualquer outra nave para o cenário deste enredo. O encontro entre Book e Moll, transformados em espécie de irmãos indiretos, mais uma bobeira – um bom momento pra dizer que eu até tinha esquecido que Michael era irmã adotiva de Spock, quando ela citou este fato aqui – serve de pretexto para flashbacks sobre como os amantes se conheceram. O conceito é até bom, sobre L’Ak ser um excluído e simplesmente querer sair da sua casa e assim se apaixonar pela forasteira, mas os diálogos, novamente, são fracos: a impressão é que Moll queria seduzir para enganá-lo e não um genuíno amor a primeira vista. Da mesma forma, incompreensível a jogada de Michael sobre a pista falsa por culpa dos diálogos, mais uma vez.
