Do you know why the trees shed their leaves each fall? I once heard in a mini sermon it's because the trees' branches cannot hold the wait of both the leaves and the coming snow and ice. God, in his beautiful design, saw fit to allow the trees to let go of the weight of one season before taking on the next. 🍁🍂 How often do we try to pile on more and more from season to season? We end up overloaded, overworked, and overtired! Exhaustion sets in and we become irritable and snap at those we love most. Where were you? September 11, 2001 ... It's a day that is clearly etched in the minds of so many of us. It started out just like any other day - wake up, get ready, go to school. I had already attended one class and was sitting on the gym floor, stretching/warming up, preparing for next class - sophomore PE - when someone came in and shared the news. I remember sitting there, in shock ... wondering 'what now?' It all felt so surreal. In the days and weeks that followed, the true heart and spirit of Americans across the country shined brighter than ever.
