Recently I realised that I've lived in the same house for over 8 years now... and that kind of rocked my world for a moment. I moved house so many times growing up. I remember my mum asking me after one move whether it had sunk in yet. I think she was expecting a big response from me but no, it was just another move. The one that did seem to affect everything for years following, was our Old Farmhouse where I lived from the age of 11 to 19. The longest I'd lived anywhere. I have so many wonderful and tough memories there the place is hugely a part of me. So to reach the same milestone in our house now is quite something. My children are 8 and 3 and this is the only home they've known ❤️🏡 So anyway, here's a picture I made of Pembrokeshire my home for 8+ years and many more to come 🤞😊 Prints will be available to buy very soon 🤩 And a walk from tonight on my favourite beach. This is me, a bit more than two years ago. I felt isolated and overwhelmed with my (at that point) fairly new double-role as mum and independent business owner. I had lost touch with quite a few people from my time prior to having my son, and I found it way harder to consistently show up in my business. I found it harder to come on social and chat to the people I used to chat before everything changed. I found it harder to reach out to friends. I REALLY missed feeling connected. I struggled to find time for myself and my wellbeing, let alone getting creative and trying out something new. I desperately wanted to change that, and guess what? I did. Soon after this photo was taken, I founded the @heitersociety and boy, it really changed things around for me: I suddenly found myself surrounded by like-minded women: women who are creative, kind, supportive and real - women who have had a similar journey to me. I suddenly felt connected and understood. I suddenly had people around me to share creative and fun experiences and workshops with. I suddenly had monthly sessions booked into my calendar that would allow me to learn, experiment and help me feel more heiter and energised — not just in my personal but also business life. The @heitersociety turned two a couple of days ago 🎈! I couldn’t be prouder and more grateful for what it’s become: a safe, calm and heiter heaven filled with supportive friends. A safe, calm and heiter heaven that has helped me get out of feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Happy belated birthday, @heitersociety! You mean so much to me ✨!! Но все мы разные, и ищем в книгах разное) А вот и мои книги: ⠀ ●Гордость и Предупреждение Понимаю, почему многие очень любят этот роман. Мне же не хватило глубины у персонажей, слишком чёткое деление на хороших и плохих, мало полутонов. Из Викторианской литературы мне намного больше нравится "Север и Юг" и "Грозовой Перевал" ⠀ ● циклы Ведьмак и Волкодав Очень люблю фэнтези, погружаться в устройство других миров, их законов. Но здесь все просто рассыпалось, как карточный домик. Я не смогла поверить ни в героев, ни в мир. ⠀ ●Унесенные Ветром Хороший образец "южного" американского романа, уникальный тем, что показывает абсолютно недостоверную картину общества в период Гражданской войны. И вроде бы и персонажи яркие и интересные, и сюжет развивается и не буксует, и картина складывается целостная - но как-то не зацепило. ⠀ Слава богу, в мире миллионы книг именно для того, чтобы каждый отыскал своих любимчиков:) ⠀ А у вас есть такие книги, которые многие любят, а вам не зашли?) #алёна_книги📚📚📚
