Most people live in a world of gray but there are those who see the world as black or white. The one thing that seems to be present within both worlds are the “fine lines” in which we cross from one color or shade to the next. For me, life seems to be full of “fine lines” no matter which world I’m living in. While I will admit that in my younger days, I saw the world much more black and white then I do now. It’s those fine lines that blur it for me. Some things are in fact, black and white, but the older I get the more shades of gray there seem to be mixed in. I am so proud of this girl! ❤️ As parents we do our best to raise our little humans to be good people. Maisie reminds me everyday that I'm doing something right. 🥰 We had a new student during our class in the last couple weeks and sure enough Maisie couldn't wait to introduce herself and make a new friend. The new student was really scared and was having a hard time leaving their parent. Maisie was there to offer encouraging words and even her hand to help him feel better. It's now been two weeks and drop off is going much smoother for the new student and almost every day they walk in holding hands. At the carnival a few weeks ago she won the cakewalk and got a package of little tiny mini cookies. I thought she would share with a friend she was at the carnival with, but turns out she wanted to share with everybody at the carnival. Getting to the age in life where I am so tired of the bullshit and it just makes me smile and laugh now. It’s def not for the faint hearted trying to build and online business. The internet makes people act so funny. Can we go back to the 90s.😆 While some are busy faking who they are for socials or trying to fool people with their intentions, I’m just here being unapologetically me. Take me or leave me. I am a tough cookie. I’m most certainly not everyone’s cup of tea. 🍵 I’ve got rough edges and I come across direct AF but, I promise so worth it. I’m the most loyal person you’ll ever meet and my intentions are ALWAYS PURE, always. I come with a past and most don’t know my story if you did I think you’d think differently but this is the age of social media so everyone just assumes and perception is reality is the saying these days and it so sad. From being homeless as a child with my dad who I haven’t seen since I was about 11, being tossed back-and-forth for 10 years between both parents been to so many elementary schools in not even sure how many this gave me the skill of reading people and being incredibly socially friendly. Something I’m grateful for out of the traumatic childhood I had. Then being on my own at 16 I promised a different life for myself and my children. Life has always thrown me curve balls and I always hit a home-run. I said I was gonna be a manager at Fred Meyer jewelers before 25 when I was hired there at 23 did it. I dreamed of being the general manager at Jared the Galleria did it. I said I was gonna make over $40 an hour at the Bank even though I started with no banking experience, did it. Now it’s time to shock everyone and do it again. I’ve got some big moves coming and it’s time to put my blinders on, drowned out the haters and do my thing once again. 💎💎💎 If there’s one thing I’ve ever learned in life, that’s never done me wrong is, always trust your intuition/gut. Your intuition is always right. This past Sunday I had the opportunity to dance in my dance studio’s Company Showcase! I was able to perform my 2️⃣ solos, my Jazz Solo “That’s Life,” and my Lyrical Solo “The Trouble With Love Is.” I also performed my 2️⃣ duets, and I got to perform in 4️⃣ group dances! I had such a fun day of dancing, making memories with my dance friends, and performing onstage in the beautiful Scottish Right Theater @scottishriteauditorium! A bonus, the finale and theme for TSDC’s recital and company showcase is “Dancing On My Own” which is what is considered the @phillies baseball team song! I love getting to dance and celebrate my favorite baseball team all at the same time! Let’s hope they have a good season!✨❤️⚾️ I can’t wait for our Beauty and the Beast Ballet next weekend (I will post further details soon), our end of year recital, and nationals! I cannot believe that this dance year is already coming to an end. Happy Friday Friends!! Have I told you all how much I 🩷🩷 living, working & volunteering in Georgina? Few visits the last two days reminded me of just that. Yesterday, I received a bouquet of tulips from my customer turned friend Tracy Scott - she's not on socials so I can't tag her, but I can tag @keswickflowers199 Keswick Flowers & Gifts for providing her with such a beautiful bouquet. 🩷 She stopped by to say thank you for something I did, even though it was my pleasure. . . it was such a lovely surprise and it made my day. Fast forward to today, just before closing and my fellow volunteering friend from the @georginaferals Georgina Feral Cat Committee Chrissy Maude Chrissy Maude stopped by with a box of cookies that she baked, to say thankyou. . . Well, now my week has ended with such incredible kindness, the smile on my face will last a while. As Khalil Gibran, a famous Lebanese-American writer & poet says, "The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention". What he means by that, is that what you do matters a great deal, even if it seems like barely anything. Today was a day filled with an abundance of joy and warmth as I took Roscoe, my beloved pony, to Cumberland Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation to celebrate Horse Day with the delightful residents. Seeing their faces light up with giant, beaming smiles and listening to their captivating stories about their experiences with horses they owned in the past was truly a blessing and a heartwarming experience.
