Found my old 16mm film from film school. Shot in 1999, the film was about a guy who wakes up in the middle of the night, huanted by images of the woman he loves. He then goes on a late night quest to find her. But does she really exist? After pitching it to my class, it was one of 4 stories that were chosen to be made. Here's another series for @iap_awards 's #iap_film. This time the challenging 110 format with its 13x17 negatives. The camera used for those shots is an Agfa Agfamatic 901S motor (yes it even has a burst mode!). All shots are home developed (CineStill Cs41 kit or Rodinal 1+100 stand development). Almost a year after EIGHT EYES began its festival run, we are thrilled by continued interest in this little slice of hell 🔥 we shot on 16mm 🎥 in Serbia 🇷🇸. Tonight it has its Swiss 🧀 premiere at @brugggore -Switzerland’s fast growing event for fantastic horror and beyond. Festival programmer Daniel Steffen has called EIGHT EYES: “A film that after 10 minutes makes you want to say: You are such an a******! This film is not gentle with your nerves!” We take that as a major compliment. More festival dates to come, as well as official streaming and home video information!

Junkerhaus is shot in the residence of Karl Junker (1850-1912) who dedicated his life to building his house in Lemgo, Germany. Reflections and projections animate surfaces and structures, producing a psychological portrait that offers a new appreciation of Junker’s architecture as mystical and visionary experience. Russo has exhibited widely including: Whitechapel Gallery; Barbican; Hayward Gallery; Tate Modern; Delfina; Towner Eastbourne; HKW, Berlin; Krefeld Museum and more.
