I am the creator and owner of Initial. Nearly a decade ago, upon relocating to the USA from Canada, I shed the accent that once adorned my name. Originally from Belgium, I was nurtured in a household steeped in education and culture. My father, an otorhinolaryngologist and a singer, and my mother, a history teacher with a profound love for art history, instilled in me and my brother a deep appreciation for music, art, and culture. These elements were not merely external influences but rather integral parts of our daily existence, akin to the air we breathed. As a child, I felt a profound connection to my senses, and it was through this sensory awareness that my passion for fragrances blossomed. This passion propelled me to pursue a path of education and exploration, eventually leading me to Paris, where I pursued a Master’s degree in Luxury and Art Management.
