Karbonathärte 🪨 Die Karbonathärte resultiert aus den karbonatbasierten Verbindungen der Kohlensäure, wie etwa Marmor und Kalkstein, sowie den Hydrogencarbonaten der Erdalkalimetalle, hauptsächlich von Calcium und Magnesium. Diese Form der Härte, die beim Erhitzen des Wassers aufgelöst wird, ist auch bekannt als vorübergehende Härte. Man misst sie in Graden und kürzt sie mit KH ab. Während Chemiker spezifischere Maße wie das Säurebindungsvermögen nutzen, ist in der Aquaristik meist die Angabe der Carbonathärte ausreichend. Im Gegensatz dazu steht die Nichtcarbonathärte, oft auch Sulfathärte genannt, die durch die Sulfate, also Salze der Schwefelsäure, entsteht, wie zum Beispiel Gips. Diese Härte bleibt auch beim Erhitzen des Wassers bestehen und wird daher als dauerhafte Härte bezeichnet. Die Gesamthärte eines Wassers, abgekürzt GH, setzt sich aus der Karbonathärte und der Nichtcarbonathärte zusammen. Besonders relevant ist die Karbonathärte aufgrund ihrer Bildung aus den Salzen der Kohlensäure und ihrer engen Beziehung zum pH-Wert des Wassers. In der Regel kann man aus dem pH-Wert und der Karbonathärte den Gehalt an freiem CO2 im Wasser ableiten. Eine Faustregel besagt, dass mit zunehmender Karbonathärte und gleichbleibendem pH-Wert der CO2-Gehalt steigt. Kohlendioxid und Carbonathärte formen zusammen ein sogenanntes Puffersystem, das in der Chemie das Gleichgewicht zwischen einer schwachen Säure und ihren Salzen beschreibt. Dieses System sorgt dafür, dass der pH-Wert des Wassers auch bei Zugabe von Säuren oder Basen weitestgehend stabil bleibt. This is a post I have been hoping to make for quite some time. I am soo excited to say we are partnering up with my favorite supplement brand on the market! The Al Naslaa rock is a landform 50 km south of the Tayma oasis in Saudi Arabia. It is split down the middle into two parts, both balanced on small pedestals. The overall shape of the rock may be due to wind erosion and chemical weathering that could have been possible due to the moist conditions in the protected underside of the rock. It is split in two by what could be a joint. I am feeling very nostalgic the last two days. Today we are headed to the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. This place is so special to my husband and I. This was our vacation spot every summer for a number of years. Brody always came with us and he loved it so very much. He could be outside with me hanging on the rocky beach watching me hunt for agates and the nice cold water and cool air kept him comfortable. He was just so content there. I haven’t really felt like I could go back there until just recently. It is a place that was just Brody’s. I didn’t want to have any more memories made there without him. Even as I’m creating this post, I have to blink away the tears so I can see the screen and swallow the lump in my throat. I’m excited to go back but I’m also having some last minute regrets. Deep down, I know Brody would be happy that I’ve gone back, but I know I will also experience some guilt and sadness at seeing some of our old hang our spots. I’m always excited though to create memories with my dogs and Brody really did pave the way for Journey and Briggs. It’s fitting that we should bring them to a place that Brody loved so much. E niente. Quando tutto va a rotoli, io mi curo così. Scelgo sempre lei, la natura. Lei che non delude mai. Lei che non tradisce. Lei che placa l'anima inquieta. Ultimamente sono un po' intollerante, ma quando si hanno problemi seri che tolgono il sonno, mi spiace ma non riesco ad essere comprensiva sulle sciocchezze altrui, perché gente, spesso ci si lamenta per delle cazzate! Depuis 2 ans maintenant, je n'utilise plus de hache. Je préfère les coins à fendre, plus léger, moins encombrant, moins dangereux et tout aussi efficace. Sur cet exemple, j'ai fait du batonnage avec une bûche de 20cm de diamètre et 2 coins à fendre. Le résultat final obtenu en 10 min.
