They were able to rescue 614 chickens who were slated to be killed at an organic egg farm just because they are two years old and aren’t laying quite as many eggs now. The pigeons came from SF Animal Care and Control. They were rescued and brought there by mistake from someone from a different county. April 23, 2024. A South Korean man in his 20s has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for the killing of 76 cats, which is one of the most gruesome cases of animal cruelty in the country in recent years. The man was convicted of violating South Korea’s animal protection law after he went on a cat-killing spree from December 2022 to September 2023, motivated by a deep hatred for cats that began when they scratched his car. He employed various methods to kill the cats, including strangling and using scissors, and even ran over one with a car. The court’s decision reflects South Korea’s growing concern for animal welfare and the importance of legal reforms to further protect animals. It is worth noting that while South Korea only recently banned the consumption of dogs, the Animal Protection Law in South Korea existed since 1991. It is designed to prevent animal abuse and ensure proper protection and management of animals. With an estimated 65 million pet cats in China in 2023, we urge for the immediate need to establish anti-cruelty law to protest the animals. We gathered with almost 70 people to stand up for those who are being trafficked on the streets of Beach Blvd. We are grateful to our ministry partners who joined us from Cornerstone Church, Voyagers, The Cove, Christian Bikers United Ministry & even one of the programs that we see on a regular basis, Vera’s Sanctuary! 2018 divorced my first love and left via DV shelter with my daughter and nephew, due to my safety, started a new relationship. 2019 changed me because I had a baby by my new boo and then he broke my jaw. 2020 broke me down because my grandma and uncle passed away a month apart, while I was pregnant with my son and constantly in the hospital due to abuse and severe blood pressure. Not to mention COVID caused me to lose my job. 2021 opened my eyes when I had my 3rd child by him and he kept abusing me and threatening my life. He then broke my ribs so I moved my kids out of town to start a new life via another DV shelter. 2022 prepared me because I gave my life to God and started taking my business seriously. 2023 walked into my purpose because I finally wrote a book about my life of abuse and overcoming the victim mentality! 2024 standing on every promise as I published my first novel on Barnes and noble website! Alongside continuing to expound on my craft in the hair industry. I had a successful book launch and am planning a tour and much more to come for me and my babies. Labels like "free range" or "grass fed" only exist to make YOU, the consumer, feel better. But the reality is that there is no humane way to exploit animals. How do you kill someone "humanely" who wanted to live? How do you "humanely" rape a cow, just to take away her baby to either get killed or suffer the same fate as her? How "humane" is killing baby chicks shortly after they're born just because they were born male or feeding them to the point that their own bones break because they can't support their weight? How humane is that? The whole industry is sickening, and they don't want you to know the truth. They want you to believe that your "food" comes from happy animals, but how can you be happy if your whole purpose of existence is to be killed? If all you've known in your unnaturally short life is pain, fear and misery? It makes me sick to my stomach what we're doing to these innocent beings, they deserve so much better.
