꧁ Akaka Falls - Big Island ꧂ Von unserer Unterkunft waren die Akaka Falls nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Parkt am besten vor der „offiziellen“ Parkbucht, ist auch erlaubt, sonst müsst ihr nämlich extra Parkgebühren bezahlen 🙈 Vor Ort könnt ihr den Eintritt zum State Park mit Karte bezahlen, pro Person sind das 4,60€ 💰 Typisch amerikanisch erwartet einen hier keine lange Wanderung 😁, der Rundweg ist hübsch angelegt und führt einen direkt zum Wasserfall. Wir sind als erstes links abgebogen, hier kommt man als erstes zum Wasserfall. Der Weg ist nicht besonders lang, der Wasserfall einfach nur wunderschön und auch der Rundweg führt im Anschluss noch durch eine traumhafte Natur 🌴 Wenn die Akaka Falls auf dem Weg liegen, sollte man hier unbedingt halten, der Stopp dauert auch nicht all zu lange max. 30-40 Minuten. Visiting one of the most famous waterfalls on the Big Island - Akaka Falls ✨ 'Akaka Falls is one of the highest waterfalls on the beautiful island of Hawaii and is located on the Hamakua Coast 11 miles north of Hilo close to the town of Honomu. 📌: 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 & 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄 🥾 : A quick .5 mile loop to travel through the gardens and see the falls. ⬆️ : +118 ft elevation gain 😅 : Easy 🎫 : Entrance to Akaka Falls State Park costs $5 per person and $10 per vehicle. There are also parking spaces on the road leading to Akaka Falls if the parking lot is full. There is a ticket machine located in the car park and payment can be made by credit card only. You can also pay online however there is very limited mobile service in the area. Pro tip: Go as soon as it opens or right before they close the park to enjoy it with fewer crowds.
