We made it up with a little sun, peeks of blue sky, some foggy trees, and a sweet cloud inversion As soon as we got to the summit - I felt a single rain drop .. and then another, and another We didn't stay long as the clouds started quickly swirling in - closing up the last of the views, and confirming we would indeed not get lucky this time with a beautiful sunset The way down was cold, dark, muddy and wet - and the rain was relentless! Sometimes it be like that.. 🤷🏾♀️ Glad for the leg stretch and at least half of a great hike ☀️🥾 Everything is so green right now! Lord I lift my hands to you . The wear and tear on my tools from boxing and mitt work.. its all part of the daily humble grind ( currently hairline fracture right hand finger , bruised knuckle, crooked fingers, tender tendons,… right side tender finger joints , crooked fingers) Lord I lift my hands to you. This particular leadership skill is a talent , a passion, a purpose you that bestowed in me. Lord I lift my hands to you. With these tools we work a purpose. Daily “we” work alongside several men, women, children . We work cultivating an environment of growth. Like a farmer, working hands in the soil over looking his crops. Lord I lift my hands to you. Towards growth in ability, in knowledge, in work ethics, in spirit, as we chose to build with them in positive fashions. Trying to guide them on their personal journeys. Lord I lift my hands to you. I am grateful for the opportunities you have given us, and for those that you may still be there for us in the future. I say “us” , it’s not just me hiking solo on these various journeys in life. On the hike I have God, my coaching squad, the fighters , the families, the close friends that all have a part in their own journeys, and ultimately what happens along my life line. Lord I lift my hands to you. As an imperfect son, Im still working everyday, grateful for that ability. Grateful for the opportunities, grateful for “real” people . Grateful I can give of myself to help , and grateful to those that through their goodwill have chosen to help me level up.
