11 april 2024 - Met Nadia en Skyler na 2 uur lopen om 11 uur s' ochtends in een super cool café beland waar 't al snel een feestje werd met shotjes Port en een rondwandelende schildpad🐢 Het lopen ging daarna verassend vlot🤣 Helaas had Nadia teveel blaren en kon ze beter met een ander groepje doorlopen. We boekten een hostel naast de kathedraal bovenop de berg bij Viana do Castelo om er daarna achter te komen dat het treintje naar boven stuk was en we dus na 29 km nog eventjes 160 meter omhoog met de trap mochten😵🙃 Overleefd en gelachen maar hierna waren hostels bovenop een berg uitgesloten🤣 #caminoportugues #caminocoastal #hiking #Peregrinos #mountofSantaluzia #Port #NoStairsPlease

Сегодня проникла такая мысль, что путь Сантьяго (как и в целом многие путешествия) делают нас сильнее потому что мозг работает на максималках, ведь ему даже какие-то базовые вещи типа «почистить зубы» — это нечто новенькое (особенно когда у тебя брекеты). Новые нейронные связи формируются. ⠀ Вчера я точно продлила себе жизнь на несколько лет, потому что прошла 26 километров на 2 круассанах и 2 чашках чая, чтобы не попасть под дождь проехала на электричке 15 минут и попала под ливень у океана, пересекла границу между государствами на лодке, словила full в альберге и пришлось еще час идти до кемпинга, где попутчик подарил мне «руку дружбы». И это я еще молчу про невероятные мои беседы с иностранцами на моем очаровательном английском с русским акцентом 😄 ⠀ Но, люди меня понимают на всех языках! А я всех учу говорить «спасибо», «пожалуйста» и почти невероятное «здравствуйте». ⠀ Однозначно, путь учит, что большая цель складывается из маленьких побед и ровно столько же отсыпает тебе разочарований. Такая маленькая жизнь в жизни. Day 9: Camino Portuguese (Coimbra to Sernadelo). Another great day walking today. 25km (about 16 miles) 👣 over by lunchtime. I called into a post office today and sent a bunch of things home. To allow me to do this, I did have to buy one lighter thing to replace something I’m sending home. But, overall I got rid of more than 2kg of weight. My pack now weighs almost nothing. It won’t be that long until I reach Porto, which I’m excited about. However, for various reasons, the little group of friends I have made will mostly go their separate way’s after this which is a bit sad. Day 5 of the Camino de Santiago La Costa: I covered about 20 km today because I wanted to spend the night in Tui, a lovely small town. My body has already adapted to walking and carrying a backpack, so there weren’t any major difficulties. Throughout my life, I’ve only stayed in hostels with shared rooms a few times and thought I’d never do it again. To my surprise, just six days into the journey, having decent bed linen in a hostel brings me joy, and a bed with a curtain feels like a five-star hotel. Oporiño to Redondela. We started our morning with a delicious breakfast at Pasó a Nivel Café in Poriño. Despite the heavy rain, we embraced the adventure, setting off at 10:30 am and trekking through nature until we reached our destination at 3:46 pm covering 10.2 miles.
