Camino Day 9 Navarrete to Azofra 21.94km/ 34558步/ 9天累計194.96km 走上朝聖之路以來，每天都早早入睡，早早自然醒， 來到第9天，今天終於放下要嗯化妝和吹頭髮的執著🤣，回到最簡單的生活。 今天又回歸20公里的路程，走在朝日下挺舒服的，沿路始終大片大片的葡萄園，一路要挺進16.7天公里才能到達城鎮，想到若是在昨天狂風暴雨下走這段，我應該會很想回家。 中間遇上之前已經遇過幾次的一位韓國大叔，一起走上一小段小聊一下，第一眼看到這位大叔就覺得特別有型，感覺不太一樣，聊天之後才發現，應該也是個響叮噹的人物（韓國前4、5大的企業高層），在大企業努力工作40年後，離開工作，拋家棄子來走朝聖之路，找尋自我。每個人都帶著不一樣的故事來走Camino的啊。 雖然比較喜歡一個人走，但有人一起走邊走邊聊感覺時間過得更快，不知不覺就到了 （原本腳痛的大叔還説好像又可以走得更遠了），説了再見，我又繼續前進下一小鎮，這就是Camino, 時而巧遇，而又分道揚鏢，有緣這一路又會再相遇的。 #azofra #朝聖之路 #法國之路 #camino #caminodesatiago #caminofrances #pilgrim #pilgrimage #backpacking #hiking #hikergirl #theway #hikingadventures #adventure #wanderlust #adventures #solotravel #travelfemaletravaller #photography #joscomino2024

Vandredag 9. Viana - Navarrette Blev til 24,8 km i sol sol og mere sol 🥵☀️🤗 Dejlig dag igen idag - dog meget asfalt - og langt til og fra den storby jeg sku igennem idag, Logroño og en slags parkområde hvor mange af de lokale er. Men også flotte passager af natur og vinmarker 🤗 Gik de første par timer solo, efter 10 km kom jeg til Logroño spiste morgenmad, og mødte så Raye som også sku spise morgenmad, så jeg tog en kop kaffe mere 🙂 Og ja vi slentrede lidt rundt og ud af byen (en stor by) i 1,5 time. Vi fulgtes ad det meste af dagen og snakkede lidt om livet, og vi mødte Steffan fra Horsens som jeg mødte for nogle dage siden - hyggeligt! Efter dagens hike blev det til en dejlig kold øl i godt selskab med Steffan, Raye og Lindsey som er ny for mig. Fedt Albergue, og en skøn dag! 🥰 Idag har jeg også forladt Navarra regionen og gået ind i La Rioja regionen. Camino Day 46 Ponferrada - Cacabelos Looky looky who just cracked 200km...to go Downward out of Ponferrada over shiny cobblestones and out along the River Sil. Dag 29 Ponferrada naar Villafranca del Bierzo 27 km (24.714 stappen), route was 24 km maar onze accommodatie lag 3 km uit het centrum en die hebben we vanochtend ook gelopen. Toen we het centrum naderden begon het lichtjes te regenen, eerste regen na exact 4 weken. Dat was op onze eerste wandeldag. Gelukkig stopte deze na een half uurtje. De route om Ponferrada uit te lopen liep via een park en een villa woonwijk. De route volgde 5 km de weg, halfweg koffiestop in Fuentas Nuevas. 100 meter na de koffiestop wenkte de koster van de ermita (die hij net opende) ons voor een stempel en zei dat we zeker even binnen moesten komen kijken naar een plafond schildering van het laatste avondmaal. Het was oprecht prachtig. Kort daarna doken we de wijngaarden van de Bierzo streek in. En ja hoor, daar was ie weer, de koekoek. Vanaf dag 1 horen wij meerdere malen per dag een koekoek alsof deze onze gids is en ons de weg wil wijzen. Onderweg horen wij uiteraard allerlei vogels. We gebruiken geregeld de BirdNET app om te achterhalen welke vogels we horen. Echt heel tof. Je neemt het geluid op en binnen een aantal seconden zie je om welke vogel het gaat. De route van vandaag was prachtig: heuvelachtig, veel wijngaarden, idyllische dorpjes en prachtige wolken luchten. De wijnstokken die we in het begin zagen hadden nog geen blad, hoe anders is dat nu, volop in blad. De Bierzo wijnstreek was ons vrij onbekend dus we hebben het een en ander opgezocht op spanjewijn.nl: "De wijnstreek Bierzo wordt ook wel de poort naar Galicia genoemd. Het is een vruchtbare vlakte die door bergen wordt omsloten (Cordillera Cantabrica en de Montes de León). Wijn uit Bierzo is een overgang tussen de lichte wijnen uit Galicia en de zwaargewichten uit de Duero vallei. De beste rode wijn in Bierzo wordt gemaakt van de druif 'Mencia' en de beste witte wijnen van de Godello druif en de Dona Blanca. Deze lokale druivensoorten lenen zich prima voor het maken van uitstekende wijnen. Het wijngebied Bierzo wacht een grote toekomst!" Tijdens onze lunch uiteraard een wijn uit de streek besteld.

We might present ourselves a certain way, but who we are will eventually come out. This is why James encourages Christians to prove who they are through the way they live. To prove something simply means to show that it’s true. Do you say that you trust God? Prove it by starting your day with a genuine confidence in Him. Do you say that you love your neighbor? Show it by going out of your way to notice, serve, and honor the people around you. Do you call yourself a follower of Jesus? Prove it by living your life in a way that reflects His heart. This doesn’t mean you’ll be perfect, but it does mean that even when you mess up, you will still try to make things right. And not because you must work for God’s favor or earn His love, but because your actions reveal what is happening inside of you. As Jesus said in Luke 6:45, “… What you say flows from what is in your heart.” So, how can we live an honorable life? By doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. Not worldly wisdom, but godly wisdom. When we stick close to God, who invented wisdom, He transforms us from the inside out. So if you claim to be wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by the way you live. And when questions arise—go to the One who has answers. Even on the most overwhelming of days, trust that God is by your side. On the Camino de Santiago. Specifically, the total eclipse will be visible near the town of Castrojeriz on the French Way and near the town of Luarca on the Northern Way. What are we doing for the event? We are going to celebrate the event by hosting a once-in-a-lifetime tour that will include the solar eclipse near Castrojeriz followed by the walk to Santiago de Compostela. We understand that summers in Castrojeriz on the Meseta are not friendly. That’s why we will shuttle you to Galicia after the eclipse, where summers are much more temperate, and from where we will walk to Santiago! Sob o céu azul pontilhado de nuvens brancas, o grupo de amigos começou a jornada com entusiasmo e determinação. Ao longo do caminho, descobriram paisagens deslumbrantes, atravessaram densas florestas e cruzaram rios cristalinos. The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.....and us! Damn you and your forecast Professor Higgins. We hoped the snow would stop. It did. Instead it bucketed down raining. What the heck! How about lightning and hailstones while you’re at it Professor! Okay. Enough! Our walk today? Rolling hills. Ancient stone walls adorning the well worn path. Stone bridges with arches. Churches with bells. Spring colours. Red, yellow, white and blue flowers. Green crops. Rainbows. Ploughed brown fields. Black tar roads.....Hang on? Tar roads.....You probably thought the ancient trail of the Way of St James would be 800km of cobblestones worn smooth by pilgrims leather sandals and colourful Hoka trail shoes. Noooo indeed. Instead it is a real mixture. The surface ranges from concrete footpaths, asphalt roads, rocky trails, sand, cobblestones and today, puddles of water intersected by mud and bogs of quicksand. The width varies from 4-5 metres wide to a single trail which disrupts those on mountain bikes trying to squeeze past. Unless the bikers ring their bells, call out, or send me an email, they can wait until I find an appropriate place for me to let them past. (I pretend not to notice them for at least 20 metres at which point I give them a startled look.) At each village, we search for a well deserved coffee. Many times we are disappointed. It is actually easier to buy a beer or wine than a cafe con leche. (Latte??) And after lunch or morning tea, the people of Spain seem to disappear. Gone. All doors and shops shut. Feels like a Covid shutdown. Siesta seems to be a real thing. Except for us lowly Peregrinos who must push on. Arriving too late into a village without a booking is always a worry. Many Albergues (pilgrim hostels) fill quickly adding to Spains homeless. So far, we haven’t been troubled. Technology abounds on the trail. E-sims. Camino apps. WhatsApp. Google maps. Google translate. Many challenges experienced by earlier pilgrims have now all but disappeared. We promise ourselves to forgo this technology and try out our luck the old way. I will retain my magic finger though which just ordered me a very large Cerveza for a miserly 3.5 euros.

Un templo para que los enfermos acabaran el Camino de Santiago. A los que enfermaban en ruta se añadían los que partían ya con dolencias, buscando las indulgencias asociadas a esta peregrinación. Por suerte, la Iglesia acabó acordándose de su desgracia. Por eso en algún momento tras su construcción se cree que Calixto III, papa del siglo XV, concedió el privilegio que marcaría al templo de villafranquino. Sea quien fuere, se otorgó la capacidad de que el acceso a la iglesia a través de una puerta secundaria, la del Perdón, concediera el Jubileo a aquellos enfermos que no pudieran seguir hacia Santiago. Un adelanto de la gloria jacobea que ha tenido algunas épocas mejores que otras. Al igual que su homóloga en la capital gallega, la Puerta del Perdón de Villafranca era tapiada fuera de Año Santo. En estos, en cambio, se habría y permitía la indulgencia plenaria de los pecados a los peregrinos que eran capaces de alcanzar el lugar pero se veían incapaces de hacer valer lo de Ultreia et Suseia. Hoy en día, en Xacobeo, vuelve a abrirse, aunque estuvo cerrada en torno a un siglo entre el XIX y el XX.
