In 2004 under the leadership of Turkmenistan’s first president Turkmenbashi Saparmurat Niyazov the growing of facial hair on men was banned, to today there are strict expectations for the conformity of appearance for the Turkmen people. However, in the village of Nokhur (situated close to the border with Iran) the residents have always enjoyed ‘enhanced liberties.’ During Soviet times (and at present) they freely traded with Iran and here you can find open and unregulated markets selling homegrown products. In this village the architecture, clothing styles and practice of religion appears very differently to the rest of Turkmenistan. The Akhal-Teke purebred horse is known in the equestrian world as one of the rarest and oldest breeds in the world. There is only around 6000 of them in existence and nearly all can be found in Turkmenistan. Known for their speed, shiny coat and ability to withstand severe climatic conditions. The Akhal-Teke is a big deal here in Turkmenistan, it is not uncommon to see golden statues, themed roundabouts, buildings and sports stadiums built to honour the famous Turkmen breed. キルギス、両替レートがいいカザフスタンテンゲはコインも両替してくれた激安だけどトルクメニスタンマナトを買い取ってくれるところも発見ウズベキスタンソムはカザフでもキルギスでも引き取ってくれるところ少ないカザフ↔︎キルギスは簡単なのにウズベク国内では両替所を見かけなかったし銀行では外貨はドルとユーロしか扱ってないプロフはあっさり系…というか、オイリーなのタシケントだけ？ラグマンは白菜とネギと春菊みたいなのが入ってて完全に日本風味焼きうどん近所のパン屋さんとコンビニのおにぎりに大変お世話になった。お弁当も日本人好みの味付け日本食レストランやたらあるけど在住日本人多いのかな？日本のSAKURA、世界で有名なんだね。知らなかったオシュへの道のりが美しいよと現地の方からお勧めされたのでキルギス、また来てもいいかも次来るとしたらソンクル湖への道が開通する6月〜9月膝のかさぶたが完全にはがれた。3週間かかったなさよならブハラの思い出 #中央アジア #キルギス #ビシュケク #アラアルチャ国立公園 #りす #centralasia #kyrgyzstan #bishkek #alaarcha #squirrel

Я Папу выкладываю редко, раз в год на его День рождения (18/08). Но. Помню каждый день. Он же часть меня. Когда я ослепла на Бали в январе 2016 года, после того, как меня привезли из реанимации, мне было больно из-за мигреней, тошноты, слепоты… и страшно. Я лежала на боку. И не могла повернуться. Я была совершенно одна в этом мире. И много времени не могла уснуть. Все потерялось. Перемешалось. И.. Папа пришел. Он лег сзади меня и обнял. И я почувствовав тепло его рук, уснула впервые за много дней. Проснулась, его уже не было. Но ощущения на руках от его объятий осталось… и я впервые успокоилась. Папы не было в живых на тот момент уже 2.5 года…. Да, я чувствую мертвых. Дверь по ту сторону для меня открыта с раннего детства. Пока не переживешь, в это сложно поверить. И мне грустно, что я это не освещаю. Вот и сейчас у меня убийственно плохое самочувствие. А тепло в душе от папы - ❤️. Время не лечит. Ничего не лечит. Просто скорбь сменяется на другие чувства. Dam of Kirov Reservoir, Kyrgyzstan The Kirov Reservoir is a reservoir located in the Talas region, in northern Kyrgyzstan is 257m long and is built in light concrete, with a a buttress structure. The dam was completed after 10 years of work. It was made functional one year later, in 1976. The figure of Lenin, whose 100th birthday was celebrated during the works, is standing at the entrance of the 86m high dam. It is modelled in the concrete so characteristic of Soviet infrastructure and represents the durability and reliability of the structure. Ups and downs in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 Here is my honest opinion about my 12 days in Kyrgyzstan: UPS: 👍🏻 Spectacular and impressive nature 👍🏻 It feels authentic traveling in the country 👍🏻 Very affordable 👍🏻 Hiking in breathtaking nature 👍🏻 Traveling around with our friend 👍🏻 Adventure packed tour 👍🏻 No crowds 👍🏻 Unspoiled nature 👍🏻 Unique activities 👍🏻 Our nomadic lifestyle riding horses and sleeping in yurts DOWNS: 👎🏻 Their food gets a bit boring when you’re eating almost the same all the time (sorry) 👎🏻 The weather surprised us – The snowy season was extended and we hadn’t the proper clothes for it (arrived in the snowy mountains in “summer clothes”) 👎🏻 We couldn’t communicate with our drivers (but they had our route under control) 👎🏻 The taste of fermented horse milk 👎🏻 Their NOT so comfortable toilets (holes in the ground) when we were on outdoor adventures Was it worth it? YES 100 % – Kyrgyzstan is one of my favorite adventures from last year! Their nature is breathtaking! I felt connected with nature in a good way. This tour doesn’t remind me of any other tour – It was unique and authentic 🙌🏻 Would I visit again? Yes I could definitely see myself revisiting this country one day 😍 ‌ This was the end of my Kyrgyzstan series. I hope you felt inspired to visit this underrated country! The Kalyan Mosque (1514) complex in Bukhara includes the (still functioning) Mir-i-Arab madrassah from the C16th, and the famous 150-foot tapering baked brick Kalon minaret, built in 1127. Genghis Khan was so impressed by the tower that he spared its destruction. Mentioned by Fitzroy McLean on his visit in 1938, it was also known as the Tower of Death, as - until as late as 1920 - criminals were thrown from its summit, head first, to their death. Views of the minaret from both the square and from inside the mosque.
