Ok time to relax tonight after work and watch some movies! First up from 1995, "Tank Girl"! Gosh now here is one of those rather obscure cult films from the 90s which depending on the person they either remembers or don’t. The movie is based off the British comic series of the same name by Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin. Despite its failure at the box office this film has gained a cult following, me included. I for one thought the film was a lot of fun, mind you I haven’t seen it since it aired on TV one time back in the day when I was a kid, it think the channel I watched it on was TNT and was part of a marathon of that day. Looking forward to rewatching it and see how much of it I remember. I know it’s a strange movie but as a person who loves the post-apocalyptic genre it’s hard for me not to enjoy these kinds of movies whether they are big budget films or not! If I recall also the movie had a pretty rockin soundtrack too, which I would expect from a film being made in the 90s, lots of memorable music back then! Stan Winston and his stream helped work on the film too so that’s certainly something too for a team with small budget to get a big name special effects master to the work the film which Winston himself even insisted on working on the film and was willing to cut the price of their work in half so the studio could afford him, I think that’s so cool! The film is directed by Rachel Talalay and stars Lori Petty, Naomi Watts, Ice-T, and Malcolm McDowell among many others! EV3 is the third studio album by American female vocal group En Vogue. It was released by East West Records on June 17, 1997, in the United States. Recorded after a lengthy break during which the group members became mothers or established solo careers, the album was En Vogue’s first project to include a diverse roster of collaborators. It marked their first album without Dawn Robinson, who decided to leave the group late into the recording of EV3 in favor of a solo recording contract, prompting the remaining trio to re-record much of the material for the album.
