Hi everyone, special guest star here @court_at_the_castle!! I am taking over Flavorful Friday this week! Last week, I was lucky enough to go to Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club for my besties bday! But Eric had to work (booooo). Anywhos, it was SO good that I want to bring my family there.. honestly just for the bread service ha. 😂 🍹To start for a drink, I tried the Purple Mariner cocktail. It was Hendrick’s gin, crème de violette, simple syrup, and lemon juice topped with soda water. If you know me, I am not a huge drinker. I don’t think I would get this again because of that but if you like gin, then you will probably like this! 🍹🍹/5 for me. 🍞We also got the bread service which was the Parker house rolls and spreads. The spreadsheet my favorite part! It included bacon jam, pub cheese, and citrus butter. My favorite was the bacon jam!! So so good. I’d honestly give it a 🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞/5. 🥦Another option we shared at the table was the roasted buffalo style cauliflower and this was one of my favorite things we got as well. I don’t usually like spicy foods but the spice was subtle which was good for me. I would definitely get this again. I’d give this 🥦🥦🥦🥦/5. 🍝My main entree was pappardelle pasta with chicken. This includes spinach, sautéed mushrooms, rebel tomatoes, roasted garlic cream and citrus gremolata. I asked for no mushrooms in mine and they were able to accommodate and then I brought my tomatoes back home with my leftovers for Eric. 🤭 it was very creamy but not heavy which is so nice! Especially if you are going to the parks after 😂 Overall this was really good, I’d give it a 🍝🍝🍝🍝/5. We had a great time just us friends! I would definitely go again but I probably would only go there for a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary, or something I’m celebrating, etc because it is a little pricy. Soooo now tell me…. Celebrated one of my friends getting her @disneylandmagickey by making reservations at the Magic Key Terrace. Had the Monte Cristo corn dog and the Shipwreck cocktail. The corn dog was a ham and Monterey Jack hot dog with a strawberry and Thai chile jam, some sort of mixed Berry compote, and red-wine grape jelly “caviar”. It was super tasty but also very rich. My friends got the quesabirria flatbread and barbecue short rib sliders, which were also very tasty… except they were both hungry later in the evening and I was still stuffed! The drink was good too. But what really made the experience was the view! An amazing view of Pixar Pier, and we were seated right by the window. Our server was also super sweet and when we said it was our first time visiting the Terrace, she gave us little postcards to commemorate. I believe their menu changes every so often so I’ll definitely be back!
It’s National Tater Tot Day, so throwing it back to the “little town harvest bowl” from Red Rose Taverne at Disneyland. It was tater tots (well, they called them potato bites), with quinoa, mushrooms, cauliflower, arugula, tomatoes, and spicy lime aioli. They were so delicious an overgrown mouse in a shiny suit tried to steal them.

Was super excited to try the turkey poutine from the Merry Mashups booth. I mean, sweet potato tots, turkey, cheese curds, gravy, and cranberries? Sounds like an amazing combo. But I was pretty underwhelmed. It was ok, but I feel like it needed more gravy and less cranberries. Don’t get me wrong, I love cranberries but there’s only so many whole cranberries you can eat. I think they were supposed to be sugared but they didn’t seem to be… I think maybe if it had been cranberry sauce it may have worked better.

It was a horribly hot day yesterday at the parks and we decided to head over to Lamplight Lounge to see if they were taking walk ins for their bar area so we could get out of the heat. We were added to their waitlist and got a callback within 25 minutes so not bad at all for not having reservations and we finally got to try the famous lobster 🦞 nachos and they were so good! I tried the Sea Witch drink not on the menu and one of their Halloween 🎃 specials called “one last toast” but I failed to take a picture 😂 it had tamarindo and can’t remember the alcohol used but it was good lol!! Can’t wait to go back! 🎃👻🎃👻Love spooky season and Disney does not skimp on decorating the parks it’s definitely a must see🖤💜🧡

Disney food blog rated this as one of the best quick service options in 2018 where you get the most bang for your buck. For $15 this sizeable portion of pork carnitas and seasoned chicken with yellow rice and beans and lettuce, sour creams, and a tortilla on the side is absolutely shareadle. It pairs nicely with their nachos! Grab a bench nearby early enough before the parade and you've scored a great viewing spot plus a chance to rest and eat! The Main Street Electrical Parade is Magic 🪄 I had never sat through it as we were always rushing to the next ride but this time we found a front spot and sat and watched the whole show and it was magical! I was standing there with a goofy smile on my face waving back at all the characters ☺️ Even Audrina was excited and waving at them. Sometimes I think the magic has worn off since I take her so often but nope it’s still there 😂 if you get to visit the park while it’s going on make sure you make plans to sit down and enjoy it. They have 2 showings at 8:30 and 10:45. We did the 10:45 thinking maybe there will be less people and nope it was packed from Main Street all the way to it’s a small world.❤️ #mainstreetelectricalparade #disneyelectricalparade #magicalmoments
