Cyndie says, “Cliff was found on the streets of Louisville Kentucky and placed in a shelter where the angels at Clancy’s Dream Border Collie Rescue found him. He had just been in the rescue for a bit and we saw his picture. We immediately knew he was our dog. It was love at first sight and he joined our family July 2022. He is now an approved play therapy dog with the International Institute for Animal Assisted Play Therapy and a registered Pet Partner. He loves being with people and learning new tricks. So..to be aware: hairballs, also known as trichobezoars, are collections of hair that your cat throws up after they get lodged in their esophagus or stomach. While the occasional hairball can be normal, cats should only have them a few times per year. Many cat owners mistake hair in vomit as a hairball issue, when in fact it's really a primary vomiting issue, and could be an indication of a problem like hyperthyroidism, inflammatory bowel disease or parasites. You can help prevent hairballs by making sure your pet's fur is clean and well groomed, trying a hairball diet formulated with more fiber, or even using a hairball prevention treat. He was found tied up in soulard behind an abandoned church during a storm full of wounds. I saw his cute Smiley face on Craigslist while looking for a dog…he originally was not the dog I was looking for but I fell in love with his picture. He has been by my side for the past 12 years. Several moves, new dog brother, a marriage, and 2 human sisters. He’s been nothing but a fantastic dog. We have had many obstacles over the years. Separation anxiety, 4 knee surgeries and severe dog aggression. He’s my heart dog and will forever be my number one boy. I will always remember how much he loves to sun bathe and roll in the fresh spring grass… he loves baby bunnies. Anytime he finds some he will lick them to death 🥰 Bear is a gentle giant. Tanks Foster Parents here with a Former Foster Update - We got a text a few days ago from former foster Rex's mom informing us that Rex crossed the Rainbow Bridge in his sleep this past Monday 😭 I know like all parents, we aren't supposed to have favorites, but Rex was one of our favorite fosters. He was so sweet and so gentle, and if he had been dog friendly, I have no doubt that we would have foster failed! He was our sweetiepie. We're so happy that he got 2 1/2 wonderful years with his family. They adored Rex from the moment they met him. Rex even found a best friend in their son, and would sleep in bed with him every night. They were inseperable. His first two families may have failed him, but his Forever Family cherished him the way he should have been cherished all along. R.I.P. Rex. You were a very special old man.
