I had a woman say to me once, “just wait until you’re 40” As if that meant I would be “less fit” with age, yet I continue to set even bigger goals every year I get older. I had a guy tell me “no one cares about Masters Athletes” Which may be easy to say when you are a 20-something single male who has yet to experience juggling a family with kids, a career and taking care of 20 year old injuries that can put you down for weeks just from sleeping wrong. The fact that we still make fitness a priority with age is what makes us impressive. A guy this last month at Nationals told a girl friend of mine who came to watch, “you’re 31, you have no future in this sport so I’d just try to stay fit” When ironically I started CrossFit and Weightlifting when I was 35 and yet here I am on this stage with the rest of them. It’s never too late to start anything. This is a reminder that everything we hear is an opinion not a fact. I visited Varanasi last November. Saw plenty of these rudraksh malas almost in all shops in the vicinity of Kashi Vishwanath temple.....so I got mine with something in mind. Women love to wear rudraksh malas adding some gold beads which look extremely elegant . Other preferable colours added to rudraksh are generally yellow or red....they go so well with handloom sarees.
